Who actually buys 8 oz beers?

I guess if a 12 oz 6 pack = 72 oz then it would take 9 8 oz to do the same. Maybe if you like to nurse your beer till it gets hot it would be a good idea. Sounds like a waste of extra aluminum to wrap the beer in smaller packages, lol!
