Its not that I'm saying no one makes bad choices, I'm just saying we should try to find the people who are at the most risk of making bad choices and make more of an effort to educate them as to what the right choices and and what the risks of making bad choices are.

Which is not to say we should just give more money to poor people. I think that we could do a lot with requiring job training to go with welfare for the able bodied people who are on it. And maybe we could change our food stamp procedure to some sort of work-exchange where people who receive food stamps actually farm the stuff they get, and they get fresh vegetables and stuff instead of being able to buy whatever at the grocery store with a debit card.

Granted, thats not a solution that would work for everyone, there are old/disabled people in those programs, etc. But it might go a long way to motivate people.

Equal parts carrot and stick.
Once again, you are an idiot. Wow, reps? What a fag. I think we should END welfare. I'm sick of seeing people at the grocery store driving new cars and using food stamps. I'm sick of my hard earned money benefiting people who cant even help themselves.
