ugh... speeding ticket
i got a speeding ticket at 3 am, after curfew, this morning, going 105 in a 45, and didn't have my license on me. stupid cop didn't realize i wasn't wearing my seat belt. he was in an unmarked police car though.
i'm only 17. anyone know what the consequences are? i won't lose my license, right?

Yah but the prosecuter knew i wasnt racing so i just did like 20 hrs comunity service and that traffic school thingy. Did that for both of them and got off.

i dont guess u noticed if he had a radar on ya or not did ya, did he actually say u were doin 105 in a 45, cuz if he didnt catch u w/ radar and just saw u fly by and knew u were speeding, i dont know if u will lose ur license or not.

if it was me(im 17,male) i would be trying to get my car out of the impound, not even thinking of having a liscense, for a while, and he would have gave me as much over as he could (was it around 60?) i wish i had boobs! lol

were u just havin fun goin that fast? or do you do it all the time? im not one to preach, but i say go slow except for those perfect times maybe once or twice a week.... to me driving slow is relaxing....but still gotta hit it sometimes

Seeing as how i jstu lost my license for the gayest reason i did some researc on speeding laws and YES by law if the cop wrote that you where doign 105/45 you will not lose your license for 6months but for 1 year, ALSO since you where out after curfew and it says you age ont he ticket and the time nad date it was issued then you will get another 6 months on top of that. Now if the cop was nice and he did right the spee don there becuse if he didnt and never asked for license and registration then i think that that was not a cop but someone out early for halloween. But if it was then he did report your speed and since you did get a ticket outside your curfew you will be losing your license jsut on that charge.
GoodLuck though.....but if you want i can give you tips on what to do and what not to do on this to where you might get to keep your license?

I'm sure QD has sped many times also... I think his main point, and his main reason for bashing people like this, is because they get caught and then whine about it... You knew what you were doing was wrong, and you knew the consequences, so accept them..
