Nope, it's 250k, and you just have to do it once (at least that's what it was a few years ago). I was right under the 250k, and never even realized that I could just call them, and have them send me a black card. Now I've cut a bunch of company expenses, so I don't spend enough (not right now at least). My friend knew and got his sent to him though. Hand delivered to his doorstep in this nice box. It's pretty cool when you bust it out at the strip club, as we've done that a few times, lol.
I thought amex changed it to red. I know PDiddy has a red one...Yeah my wife got a black visa add in the mail...She's unemployed.

No, The Black Visa is for posers because it is offered to pretty much everyone with good credit.
The Amex Black Card is by invitation only. And it takes a LOT to even be considered for one.
