I never did get it.

Whats the point?

If i'm "speeding", 9 times out of 10 I know I'm going over the speed limit. I don't need a sign to validate the obvious, I DO have a speedometer.
I see people speed pass them all the time, ignoring "your speed".

How many people slow down when they see one of these radar speed signs? I always saw them as a waste of tax dollars, lol.

I don't know. Unless they're cool enough to take a picture of your tag and send a citation to your address, I see'em as a waste of tax dollars as well.

What I hate are the idiots in front of me that slam on their brakes when the sign says they're doing 46 in a 45 like they're about to get sent to jail for 25-life if they get caught

I dont, cause I just dont give a fuck, Im not much of a speeder though so i usually dont need to slow down. I learned my lesson about speeding back in my teenage years.

these things don't pick up motorcycles. i've seen a car in front of me set it off, then id speed up to 60-80 and just watch it sit htere and do nothing. lol.

I saw a guy the other day get hit with one of those and there was a cop a few cars behind him that pulled his ass over.

Some of them are equipt with cameras on the rear that get a picture of your tag then you get them in the mail. When I still road bmx I road past one and it registered 17 mph lol. Not sure about the baseball thing though. And xxbckiexx Is right to an extent I road past one on my bike and it didn't pick me up for some reason, but another one did. Guess there selective.

I usually speed up to see what I can get it to register by the time I pass it. Down here we dont have cameras (yet).

hell yeah cause down here they like to post them just after the bridges and then get the people that are speeding. and if not they take pics of your tag and send that shit to the house!

HONESTLY, I usually floor it, I've NEVER seen one here in Athens with a camera. If they had them I'd slow down.

The one outside my apartment in Texas never picked my car up. I mean other cars would pass and I'd see their speed but it never did anything for mine.

I like seeing how accurate my speedometer is with those.

same here. me and my buddy where hitting a few back roads up here and saw one. we past it and did like 130 something. turned around to come back by it and hit 178. keep in mind this is on a nice little straight away lol.

I usedto work out in Madison and every morning on the way they had a speed trap on the highway. I always speed up(this was when I had the boosted civic) and I would always try to make it go over 100 but it never would. I went by it at 105 all the way to 135. It never went over 100...
