I'm not racist by no means. I like to joke and kid around with people about things, but most of things i say about certain doesn't need to be taken to heart. Because, I see it as fun and get laughs from it. You can call me whatever, and I will almost bet. I HAVE BEEN TOLD OR CALLED WAY WORSE. Most stuff doesn't bother me when it comes to ethnicity. I hate everyone equally.

You are there. We are there. You say racism will not die yet turn around and speak on it as if it were dead. You negated your own attempt at negating something else.

There's nothing wrong with never forgetting, but why keep bringing it up? Why would you not want it die. Letting something die is not the same thing as forgetting it.

I'm curious as to why people always equate slavery to racism...
As if, because slavery wasn't in our time and because of some dumb notion that black people base claims of racism solely on slavery, that racism does not exist as a real issue in our society. Slavery and racism are two separate entities.

Racism is real. Racism affects everyone. Racism will not go away simply by sweeping it under the rug.

We can't sweep it under a rug because it happened. Example...my great grandmother is 104 years old. Every time I see her she reminds me of how happy she is I'm doing what I'm doing, because when she was my age she couldn't do HALF of what I do. So when I have kids I will let them know where we (as a people) were and where we are now. I see nothing wrong with that. It's not reliving...it's awareness.
