Wrote mine right after my dad died.

If you have any assets, it's a very good idea to make out your Will. Anything can happen, and if it does this will make an already very difficult situation for your family just that much easier.

I have Ventricular Tachycardia (fast heart rhythm, that originates in one of the ventricles of the heart that may lead to ventricular fibrillation and sudden death). I haven't had any heart problems in a few years until last week (17th). I seriously thought I was about to die in my room so I quickly wrote up a Will and a last message to all my loved ones. Saved it on my desktop.

A living will isn't for your bequeathed shit. It's to say what to do with your life if you get on life support and who is in charge of the medical decisions should that happen.

    Noun

    * S: (n) living will (a document written by someone still legally capable requesting that he should be allowed to die if subsequently severely disabled or suffering terminal illness) "after he discovered he had AIDS he drew up a living will"

I wasn't trying to be a smart ass. I just want people to know what it really is because I think it is important. I had to help Dan's dad get all of his living will and will together.

Also, a trust isn't the same as a living will or a will. They are all separate things and you should have all 3, (unless you live at home with your parents then you probably only need a living will right now.

oh, i thought the trust was the after death, and the will was for medical stuff.

The trust is for after the death.

The will lays out who gets what.

The trust lays out things such as who is in charge of the estate/who will make sure everyone gets what the will says they get.

The living will is so that it says what should be done with you while you are "living" but incapable of making medical decisions and who should make th decisions not layed out in the living will.

Inspired by a friend, every week I write out a one-page will. It puts me at ease in case something happens to me and I never get a chance to tell people what they meant to me. It's not a true will in that it's at all legally reputable, but it's enough for me since I don't really own anything of great value.

Keeping it one page makes me focus on the most important things, while writing it every week helps me focus on the bigger picture.

Kind of emo and shit for IA, but maybe it'll inspire someone to do something similar.

I don't have anything written, but I've thought about it before. I would probably have any money I have go to my brothers to pay for school and hopefully a bright future. If I have a wife and kids in the future, I'd probably have it split 50/50 between my wife and my brothers.

They [my brothers] are a complete pain in the ass by the way, but I occasionally think of nice things like this.
