Chattanooga police and firefighters responded to to a 9:10 a.m. 911 call that a passenger car was underneath the trailer of an 18-wheeler. The accident happened just before the Chickamauga Creek overpass in the southbound lanes of I-75, 1/4 mile from the I-24 split.

Investigators with the Chattanooga Police Department Traffic Division confirmed the fatality.

According to witnesses, the passenger car, traveling southbound, was speeding in and out of traffic across multiple lanes when it's driver apparently misjudged the distance between the car and a tractor trailer and ran under the trailer. The impact caused the trailer to roll over the vehicle, killing the passenger.

The driver of the car was taken to Erlanger with life-threatening injuries.

fuck not being harsh. Say, when I was a younger person, I did stupid things ont eh road. Now that I have a kid. I realize the dangers of stuff. If that would have been me when I was younger, and knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have any remorse for myself..

This is the truth. I have done plenty of stupid things on the road. I don't so much now because i see all these things. Not to mention I have my little sister that looks up to me. I have been hit before and it knocked my gf out and it scared the shit out of me. I just don't want to endager someone elses life like that let alone mine when i have so many things to be thankful for.
