***UPDATE*** The 'Random Hero' and Post Script' Drama

So guys, I apologize that I may sound repetitive, but I wanted the public to know the exact situation that is going on. Keep in mind, these are members that ACTIVELY posted on the forums and it seems like they have dropped off the earth ever since the accusations. I'm quite happy of the following outcomes although it has not been fully resolved.

It's quite disappointing that fellow car enthusiasts would do such a crime. It's great that I get the satisfication that this will be resolved in a legal manner. But I did get a visit from the Cobb County's Sherriff's office just recently and wanted to share the news. Here's a quote from my thread in Sellers forums:

Just received notice today from Cobb County's Sherriff's office that Justin Stringer has been served. He has 30 days to respond from the subpoena.

Just so everyone is informed, I will be pressing charges against Ryan once the final court decision has been made.

Thanks for everyone's support, the legal system will definitely work everything out.

Essentially, Justin Stringer aka 'Post Script' will have his day in court to settle the dispute. Once the settlement has been reached, I will be pressing charges against Ryan aka 'Random Hero'. As I'm sure everyone is aware, the sale of stolen goods is a crime. This could result in a felony charge.

I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention as I'm finally getting some satisfaction in the result. Our legal system is working well guys!!!

You do realize the judge is most likely going to ask why you didn't go pick them up if you knew where they were..... and then ask you to prove the wheels that were sold were yours.... and IF, key word being IF, you do get some sort of settlement, it will be minus depreciation, and based on the fact those wheels were trashed, you'll probably be paying more in lawyer fees than you'll be getting back.

Why even waste your time?

I still don't see any damage to the wheels. There's multiple threads and comments on how the wheels are clean. I've seen the wheels at couple meets and they looked mint.

Trashed or not, you just don't assume something is yours because it's been in your property for some time especially something small as wheels. Now if it was a car....I'm sure they would've called chnco a million times, telling to come and get it because "we need room in the driveway."

the wheels sat in the parking lot & didnt move for a good year & a half.

next question -- how exactly are you going to prove the wheels werent sold with the car? and umm, if you intended on getting the wheels back & cared for them THAT much (which if you lived without them for a year & a half, why are you crying now?) the judge is going to ask you to see something IN WRITING that states the wheels were not included in the sale... and if you really intended on keeping them and they meant that much to you, WHY THE FUCK would you sell the car they're on???

man i can say that those wheels were not trashed, and were in amazing condition. when i saw them at IA. There is plenty of evidence, of everything you are trying to defend...and it seems that you are very late, and mis-informed!!

i applaud allen for pursuing it, at this point if not for monetary/material compensation, at least for standing up for principles.

just bc we no longer live in a time when a simple handshake btw two ppl means something, doesn't give ppl the right to be unethical when making business deals/transactions.

I have a set of wheels a fellow S2K owner let me borrow while my new set was in the mail. I haven't seen or heard from him in over a year. I have lost his number and don't recall his screen name on the board but does that mean I should sell them? Absolutely not. It's about the "principle" of the situation which it seems many people these days don't understand.

This is just a shitty situation to be in all around anyways.

Bringing up the condition of the wheels has absolutely NO BEARING ON THE SITUATION. I don't understand why everyone is focusing on that. The wheels were mine, plain and simple. You don't 'give away' or sell other people's property. This is law.

Justin has until July 25th to respond to his subpoena.

Not that it really makes a difference but people keep arguing that the wheels were in bad shape and some saying they looked perfect, all i can say is i have seen them a thousand times and all 4 of them have numerous curb marks and if i'm not mistaken a couple of them have bent lips.. they look good in pictures but not so much up close

If wheels look good from 10 feet, they're not trashed. They might not be perfect, but they're not trashed.
