well then i would say your pretty much screwed. you have no proof of where you got the car from so as far as everyone else is concerned you could have stolen it

i wish i could help you but what i would do is call the dmv or something tomorrow and ask

wow. this sucks. was the person a member here? if so a Mod can help in that regard...

otherwise... do you remember their name, address, anything like that?

is it someone that people on here might know? maybe if you posted the description of the car and what the guy looked like?

there are lots of things you can do to track down this fella.

no clue what to tell you otherwise.

    GOOD LUCK!

yes this is true, u can find someone who may do it for you for around $250-$350, what they do is they lie and say that they had a face to face contact with both the buyer and seller. but really they dont and they forge the signatures. i forgot what their job title name is. title getter... maybe..lol

thats all i know...really....talk to a buddie or know someone that has a auto shop...shit happens to them like this all the time and they dont have the time to do it themselves so they hire a "title getter" to do it. and the shop would get a better price on the service just cuz they'll run into many of those problems where you yourself has just one so you'll pay more than what the shop would be paying for.

You can get a bonded title through your insurance company. Just hope the car hasn't been reported stolen, lol.

Dude....just go to the DMV, give them the VIN number of the vehicle and see who the vehicle was last registered to. I've had to do it once for myself.

Get that contact info for the guy. They had my previous owners address listed on there as well as his phone number. Get in touch with him. Ask him/beg him/pay him to go to the DMV and claim a lost title because it was last registered under his name. And make sure when you talk to one of the DMV guys, that you explain the situation, otherwise it'll be a little weird/stalkerish.

Then you pour gasoline all over your car and use the last hit of your cigarette to ignite it. Then sit back and watch the flames.
