They are Canadian Geese, thats how they fly, they come down for the winter and fly back up North in the summer. The main bird at the front is the lead and they follow him. Cool thing is they come back to the same spot here and back home each time, they actually know where they want to come and go to

Brett. I'll have to call you on this one. Actually the main bird and the others switch positions during flight. The main bird creates a draft for the other birds to basically "coast" in.
