    i fucking hate spam bots and it is getting out of hand - i will reinstate it after i get our verification processes in place.

    SO NO NEW MEMBERS OR SPAM!!!

    Paul, the best thing to do (what we do on other boards), is make an "Initiation" forum.

    Have the accounts sit in there for a little while (make them post a few threads or so) and then release them to the main forums.

    You can have a few mods patrol the forum and look for AEs or spammers. Ban the spammers immediately so that they won't get put into the "approve" queue.
