    Very True, production wise.

but I'm sure that there are imports (modded) that can beat your V8.

Man you are one mother fucking dumbass. Do you seriously think imorts are faster then domestics? Have you ever heard of "theres no replacement for displacement?" Well that is true. Fastest domestic > fastest import any day. Take a look at this honda boy.

I partially agree. That 1.3 liter in the RX8 can guzzle gas like no other so I don't see rotaries as being all that superior right now. I'm using the RX8 because its the newest production model wankel out there. They simply haven't had tens of billions thrown at em like reciprocating otto cycles have.

Its all about the amount of air and fuel that can be combusted. Example:

    GE90-115B ($20 Million each)
Thrust: 115,000 (tested at 127,900 lbs)
    Size: 287" Length x 135" Diameter
    Boost: 661 psi
    Redline: 2550
    Compressor RPM:10,850
    EGT: 2700*F+
    Weight: 18,260lb
Max fuel burn: 1.04lb/second (at takeoff)
Representing the engine's power in terms of HP will be highly misleading since the numbers are not of the same dimension. However, at .9 Mach at 40k feet, the engine produces ~175KHP. Yes, 175,000 HP.

That just made all car engines look like shit didn't it?

I see the straight line thinking has taken over this thread.

But if i were to have my say in here, i will say this.

Till this day, the best Vipers ever made were designed and built in France and Germany. Zakspeed and Oreca to be exact.

So calling it a domestic in my eyes is a stretch. Same goes for the Ford GT.

Zakspeed actually bought one of Oreca's GT2 Vipers originally.

Nowadays, Zakspeed uses a V8 (i have yet to figure out which) in their Vipers.

Remember, the Nurburgring 24 hour is a little over a month away.

IDK why people of muscle dont believe that when it comes to a Viper or a Corvette that the motor itself is factory modded. While a similiar Japanese motor comes bland. This is not to say that the factory turbo motors (that MUST be detuned to pass emissions for no reason down here) are factory modded, but we can never see that here thanks to emission laws. Although those American muscle cars pollute as bad as my straight pipe Civic.

Bad comparson as a lot of those American muscle cars were designed when leaded fuel was still lawful.
