I liked the movie myself.

I can answer the Charger question I know a thing or two about them.

The Charger is a 70, and it was in the original movie as well.

The reason for the grille being replaced with a cheaply made wire mesh substitute, was because they built 7 Chargers for this movie, and the majority of body panels/grilles/trim aren't reproduced. So it was a lower buck/quicker alternative.

As for why they were driving it after it was destroyed in the cave, hell if I know. It had to be a replacement in the storyline.

The Subie had no driveshaft because that scene was shot in a controlled location, with gutted and empty shells of the Torino and WRX being slung by cable off ramps. No need for a driveshaft in gutted cars. Its just how they make the movies.
