The movie road trip, theres a scene (Gwinnett diner) thats literally .2 miles from my house lol. I wish I was there when it was getting filmed.

Several parts of Road Trip were filmed in Dahlonega since the area looks like parts of Pennsylvania they were depicting and one of the directors was familiar with the area after mountain biking there. Road Trip was probably filmed in 10 locations around North Georgia from Athens, Emory, Georgia Tech, Dahlonega, Cumming, to Lawenceville...
true that....the part where they jump the bridge, and the car expoldes.....right down from my house.....but it wasn't actually Athens...15 mins south of Athens in town of Bishop. I was there the day they did it. Awesome stuff

Georgia Government has authorized MAJOR tax cuts to the Film industry in order to encourage more films to be shot here in the state. It's been working... there have been quite a few big budget films shot here in Georgia. (I've been in one of them! ever so briefly) lol
Part of Dumb and Dumberer was filmed in a house right down the street from mine, pretty random.
Rob Zombie filmed a few scenes of Halloween 2 (remake) here in madison (where I work) it was pretty cool. Got his autograph....scary looking motherfucker.

Alot of movies are filmed here in Ga because there are tax incentives for the film industry for productions made in GA
LOL at the fact that people mention that Road Trip was filmed at Georgia Tech, Emory, and some spots in Athens, but conveniently leave out the fact that almost all of the scenes with Tom Green giving the tour are at UGA. Hell, you can even see the Power G when they are in the stadium.
UGA: Everybody is laughing at us this year.
