Awesome Evo VIII deal

Saw this Evo while looking through autotrader.

I've never seen an Evo for this cheap. Who ever has $8900 and time to drive up to ohio will be getting a killer deal. If my cars were sold I would defintely pick this up.

it's a shitsubishi, you couldn't have expect them to keep their value for long.. with Corvettes at an all time low price, w ho would want to buy an evo four banger suck car for the same price you can get a z06? No one.

Most Mitsubishi cars do lose value rather quikly but Evo's seems to fair a little better. Z06's are nice but it really depends on personal preference, I would love to own one but its just not pratical for me right now.

I would. Z06's have traction issues that I'm not a big fan of, and I'm a bit tired of having to put tires on them every 10,000 miles for my boss's buddies. They're great cars, but I'd rather have an Evo I can fit my friends in and feel safe at speed in the weather than a Z06 to be honest. Now, a C4 is a different story...but that's just sex appeal :-p

About the autotrader ad: Does anyone besides me get the "that's fake as fuck" feeling when looking at the picture of the front and rear bumper? And, I've looked under the hoods of plenty of Evo 8's and there's something weird about that one, but the pictures are too far back to really tell. To be honest...my first reaction was "That's a Lancer with an Evo bodykit."

It has to be a mistake. Evo's tend to hold their value better than most cars. I would say that it would be worth $16-18k. Seems shady to me. Besides, they didn't bring the Evo VIII to the states until '03.

Besides, Japanese cars generally sell cheaper up here since this isnt a scene for them vs down there.

There was a good condition yellow 03' Evo at Curry Honda for around 17 (IIRC). This has to be a typo or something because the car is worth atleast 14k private party with that mileage and this economy

I saw that evo too at Curry Honda. It could be that somethings wrong with the car, the owner made a typo(likely since he made some mistakes typing up the description), and etc.... but if the car is really what the seller describes it to be for that price this is a steal.
