smoking helps me not kill people.
Ciggs are just nasty. Pretty much everyone in my family is a heavy smoker. Its funny because growing up it never bothered me that much and their house would be smokier than most bars. Then I moved out and lived on my own, never allowed smoking in my place and since they passed no smoking laws for bars, restaraunts etc I haven't been around it.
Now when I go to my parent's place to visit/do laundry I can hardly stand it. I keep my clothes and things in a sealed bag, and even after I wash them they still smell like an ashtray.
Outdoors, I can smell somebody smoking ciggs from 50 yards away.
If you've never seen how ciggarettes are made, check it out its pretty crazy. Maybe 5% of a cigg is new tobacco. The other 95%... pretty much every crazy way you can think of to recycle tobacco... thats what the remaining 95% is.
That being said I like to have a Black and Mild every now and then. B&M and pipe tobacco/cigars etc is a completely smell from cigg tobacco. I actually like the smell of pipe tobacco. I've thought about getting a pipe but I'm afraid it might become a habit. I tried hookah once but it was just kinda meh.
I used to smoke weed, it was fun and relaxing for a while. I used to have this really aggravating supervisor at my old job who was always looking for weed. It used to make my day knowing that I had a constant supply waiting at home and him and his buddies were always out.
Its kinda relaxing for a while and it makes TV a whole lot more interesting, but after a while it gets kinda boring. I used to smoke 3x a week, but I stopped cold turkey. Haven't had any in 5 or 6 months and I don't miss it at all. It really is non-addictive, I had no side effects or anything from stopping.
What was really the hardest thing to kick for me was caffiene. Back when I was working 2 jobs... 14-16 hours a day 6 days a week I used to go through a lot of caffiene. At my first job I would have a large coffee in the morning, 2-3 vaults through the day, and a large coffee in the afternoon. Then I'd go to the second job and drink coca-cola all night.
When I left my second job and went to 8 hours a day... I had to stay on all the caffiene to keep from having headaches. I had problems sleeping... it sucked. One day I just decided to quit... cold turkey. And I did... I had a headache for a week straight and asprin had no effect.![]()
