    i was wondering where i can find how hot my laptop is running? its a HP DV5

    I had an old DV2000 series that literally burnt my leg to a blister...that one then melted the motherboard (or the capacitors on it, rather) and HP gave me a free, built to order replacement even though it was out of warranty.
