Utah, USC, and Texas all got screwed. Especially Utah.

Texas had the best claim to be in the title game. USC close, but no. Utah, who did they play other than Alabama in the bowl? Really.

Why is it that Alabama, with a strength of schedule of 79 can be undefeated and ranked number one for 5 weeks of the season, yet Utah can have a strength of schedule of 59 and be undfeated (and beating Alabama) and not be ranked #1?Originally Posted by Mike Lowrey
You forgot to point out that Florida LOST to an undefeated team while Utah did not. Utah also beat the only team to beat USC. You also forget to mention that Utah went into The Big House in Michigan and beat them before they had nothing left to play for. So their out of conference games were: Michigan, Oregon State, and 2 in state games.
All the while, Florida was beating out of conference foes like The Citadel and Hawaii. That is really impressive. Not to mention that LSU and South Carolina weren't ranked at the end of the season. Georgia and Florida State were way over rated as well.
But yeah, I am a dumbass; along with the 16 people who voted them #1 in the AP and the others who voted them high enough to finish #2 in the nation. Who's the dumbass now?
