So I finally bit the bullet and bought a decent watch, one that will hopefully last a few decades.

I won't spend over $100 on a watch, because usually in 2-3 years they look outdated. I only wear one maybe once a week anyway.
Rolex
I'm having a tiny bit of buyer's remorse (but that happens every time I buy something retail and not online). I paid $550 for it but I could get it online for $120 less. But it might be worth it to have a store responsible for the upkeep, somewhere I can go. At least that's what I'm telling myself. :POriginally Posted by civic95

i bought my gf this bulova watch for vday. She wears it on an almost daily basis and still looks brand new. Not the most expensive watch but worth the money.

I've had my Fossil for 4-5 years and it still looks great
I used to have a fossil watch, but I think they lack the things that make a true high-quality watch.. sapphire crystal face, things like that.
Plus I don't see many with truly innovative gadgetry, which is important to me.

I forgot what model, but it was a simple design with stainless steel band and back and I have never replaced the battery. Cost me $600.
