Default The New AMerican Revolution , by 2012........

Scary read from Gerald Celente, the guy that has successfully predicted just about every other major economic and political meltdown in history. Thoughts? I mean could we really see in our lifetime the overthrow of our Government by BIG BUSINESS and our dollar being worth .10 ?

The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting fut More..ure world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.

Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.

"We're going to see the end of the retail Christmas....we're going to see a fundamental shift take place....putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree," said Celente, adding that the situation would be "worse than the great depression".

"America's going to go through a transition the likes of which no one is prepared for," said Celente, noting that people's refusal to acknowledge that America was even in a recession highlights how big a problem denial is in being ready for the true scale of the crisis.

Celente, who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse and the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, told UPI in November last year that the following year would be known as "The Panic of 2008," adding that "giants (would) tumble to their deaths," which is exactly what we have witnessed with the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and others. He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 per cent.

The consequence of what we have seen unfold this year would lead to a lowering in living standards, Celente predicted a year ago, which is also being borne out by plummeting retail sales figures.

The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, "The world's middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest," and that, "The middle classes could become a revolutionary class."

In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America.

"There will be a revolution in this country," he said. "It’s not going to come yet, but it’s going to come down the line and we’re going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen."

"The first thing to do is organize with tax revolts. That’s going to be the big one because people can’t afford to pay more school tax, property tax, any kind of tax. You’re going to start seeing those kinds of protests start to develop."

"It’s going to be very bleak. Very sad. And there is going to be a lot of homeless, the likes of which we have never seen before. Tent cities are already sprouting up around the country and we’re going to see many more."

"We’re going to start seeing huge areas of vacant real estate and squatters living in them as well. It’s going to be a picture the likes of which Americans are not going to be used to. It’s going to come as a shock and with it, there’s going to be a lot of crime. And the crime is going to be a lot worse than it was before because in the last 1929 Depression, people’s minds weren’t wrecked on all these modern drugs – over-the-counter drugs, or crystal meth or whatever it might be. So, you have a huge underclass of very desperate people with their minds chemically blown beyond anybody’s comprehension."

Could we perhaps see our own Boston Tea Party type of event in our lifetimes?

Doubt it. The American people don't have the guts or personal resolve to pull this off. We've turned into a country of infants that wants everything force fed to us so that we have no notions of responsibility.

Either way I'll stock up on ammo before that day ever comes. I will protect my way of life and that of those dear to me.

sorry don't believe its going to happen; just as i don't believe in Jesus coming back

2012 has been predicted for ages by many; sounds like he is on the Mayan bandwagon.

Do you know what it would take for in a 4 year period for us to literally crumble which is what his predicting? If this happened to the US the entire world except for Africa, South America, etc... every where else that isn't 3rd world would be like this.

    well think about it

The stock market would have to crash hard, and the way its going its not out of the question yet. We could see a monumental crash early 09 if the retail sales figures keep plummeting. That will cripple alot of businesses.

If FORD and GM go out of business, unemployment is going to skyrocket and the market will hit 5000 IMO which would be devastating.

At that point, we will be crippled, youll see unemployment hit 20%+ and people will have little choice.

God help us if we get attacked during that time.

Im not a doom and gloom buy, an i dont think itll happen, but all the signs are pointing to it, and if you think about it we are not that far off. Ford+GM Collapse, 1 more big bank goes under, dealerships close, horrible retail sales this xmas, and we are pretty much there folks.

Its really not that far off if you think about would COULD happen in the next few months.

i can totally see our situation getting worse before it gets better but most economist/history predicts we will start to swing out of this next summer.

we are going to bail out the auto industry b/c if we don't it will cripple the US economy; one of the biggest problems that needs to be faced is healthcare. GM has the largest benefit plan in the US and its killing them. unfortunately a lot of things have gone on way too long w/o checks-n-balances this is why we are where we are.

though the economy is slow you still see the giants doing ok - oil, walmart, etc retail is hurting b/c slow economy and low balling... places like circuit city can't compete w/ people like eBay, Amazon, newegg, overstock, etc... these places don't have to carry such overhead when their customers are basically buying from couple major warehouses, dropshipping, or direct buying.

we will be ok as long as people DON'T PANIC! the problem w/ americans is we are lazy, uneducated, and uninventive compared to other major growing economies.

i wouldnt be so sure. There is definetly a feeling of civil unrest going on.

With the GOVT selectively bailing out big corp, i can see a day not too far off where a business tries to move on DC.

    interesting

I think the idividualist factor of our society pushes thresholds further. It would take considerably longer for us to revolt because of that. No sense of unification or patriotism if you will. I also think voting for a new president has fooled a lot of people as well. They, by voting, think their part is done and he will fix anything thats wrong, wiping their hands clean and putting it out of their minds. I'm not bashing Obama, it could be a space alien or anybody else. I'm refering to the timing of our situation, the pneumonic act of voting, the monikers, idealism, and false comfort it provides. We are by no means coming "out of the woods"....yet. I think there is a posibility of the survival of our government and economy but the opposite is so possible it worries me to no end. I know! I'll just buy some guns.

I had this conversation with someone the other day.

Imagine what our Parents went through during the Vietnam war and the 60s-70s. Did they feel like we do now?

Imagine what your Grandparents went through during WWII/Korean War, etc.

Imagine how people felt during the Great Depression.

Imagine how people felt during the Civil and Revolutionary War.

YOu think they thought they same as we did? "no it could never happen!?"

I Honestly think we will be fine an that alot of this the media is feeding on because there really is no other story out there. It is a MAJOR problem, but we have had MAJOR recessions before and pulled through.

oh im sure he has made some shitty predictions, and as i said, i dont think he is right on this one either.

I could make 1000 predictions and i bet some of them would be right doesnt make me an expert

I guess really what i was trying to say is what if he IS right, could you see any of this happeneing in our life times?

I honestly thought that if Obama won and was assassinated on the same night, this country would have torn itself apart. Scary to think thats how close we are

I think we may see the end of the Brick and Mortar sales places in our lifetime.

Paul go pick up this book called THE LONG TAIL, its written by the editor of WIRED. really good book about how Best Buys days are numbered along with other retailers.

All retail stores days are numbered though, it's an evolution just like anything else. It's difficult to find a payphone now but it's not any harder to make a call.

Like Ran said people are pussies. The people that understand true sacrifice and struggle are mostly involved with the military already.

You know for the longest time I figured if America were to fail I would flee to another country. Now I think I would stay. I've already served my country and fought in a war that was not ours. I think that if the US were to crumble from within it could be rebuilt at the hands of strong leaders. As much as I would like to be one of those leaders. I would at least fight for this soil and back those leaders trying to make a difference.

You should love this country more than anyone. If it weren't for your family coming here you would probably be running around barefooted in some village while 3 white guys with sombreros come in dancing and singing.

this is a very probable future for the country that we live in. the signs have been around for a long time. companies like walmart are booming, not IMO from a good ecomony, but from selling cheaper(low quality) goods to a people who no longer have the incomes to buy better items.

it's almost cheaper now to buy a value meal, than to grocery shop.

it's better to buy a cheap ass car and maintain it, than to get a new one and a car note, especially a GM vehicle and keep afloat.

companies have balled out and enjoyed outsourcing production of goods and services only to turn around and resell them here to those that may have been employees in the past.

the military is operating in so many different places around the world, i personally am unsure that should another large force attack this nation, we'd be able to effectively combat it, short of using our plethora of nukes.

i know that when america beat russia in the cold war, russia quickly went to hell.
china is now a waking dragon( no thanks to the masses of companies that saved billions outsourcing to increase profits) and my feeling is that there can't be 2 world superpowers at a time, meaning one of them has to fall back. maybe i'm wrong, but i think with all that's happened in the last 20 years and with the USA knowing it has been "the shit" for recent decades, we might be in for a kick in the ass.

then again nothing could happen, and we will return to better times.....

it's better to buy a cheap ass car and maintain it, than to get a new one and a car note, especially a GM vehicle and keep afloat.

companies have balled out and enjoyed outsourcing production of goods and services only to turn around and resell them here to those that may have been employees in the past.

the military is operating in so many different places around the world, i personally am unsure that should another large force attack this nation, we'd be able to effectively combat it, short of using our plethora of nukes.

i know that when america beat russia in the cold war, russia quickly went to hell.
china is now a waking dragon( no thanks to the masses of companies that saved billions outsourcing to increase profits) and my feeling is that there can't be 2 world superpowers at a time, meaning one of them has to fall back. maybe i'm wrong, but i think with all that's happened in the last 20 years and with the USA knowing it has been "the shit" for recent decades, we might be in for a kick in the ass.

then again nothing could happen, and we will return to better times.....
good point i agree with you on this. i live where the army trains pilots and such. several different routes for various army/navy/etc training and shit. their has been alot more activity than ever before. and im sure alot of you know what i am talking about. it makes me think and wonder if the gov't does know something is about to happen and is preparing to take over. either way i wonder why so much more now than ever before? even on 9/11 there was never this much air traffic around here even in gainesville when i used to work at my old job we would feel the choppers and plaenes because they were so low. just seems to me like they are getting ready for something. i do believe that if the US is invloved in another world war, that it will be on our land and no where else....but thats just me like you say every one has their own veiws and opinions so we may never know til its to later and we are in concetration camps...

there will not be a world war waged in america... that would never happen. reason being we could blow up the entire world 10x over and we don't need to leave our soil to do such. we have more nuclear subs, bombs, bases, etc then anyone else. any war we have will be terrorist attack b/c no one would have the balls to do a full out attack on the US. other countries: iraq, iran, korea, cuba, russia all talk a big game but would never dare b/c they know we can earse the globe.

if anything were to happen i see middle east issues following us here; car bombs, suicide bombs, etc. if/when that happens prepare for mass hysteria and a very unpleasant world. you better hope you are white or black when that happens b/c anyone of other origin will become scape goats for hate mongers

i think 24 days later, children of men, or V for vendetta post apocalyptic type days are more realistic then end of the world. i think humanity isn't 100% dead so we have hope.

Although I don't fully believe in the whole 2012 bit. I do believe that something will occur during that time frame.

Mostly because of this widespread panic over 2012. I just like the law of nature if you go out looking for a fight you will find one. You get enough people to believe the something is going to happen it will.

is funny how some people believe this crap..

I mean, the Mayan were pretty smart and shit.. But they had a few different calendars they "tested".. until they decided to use the one that people think will end the world..

    Makes no damn sense..

lets start a calendar @ 0.0.0.0.0 and its suppose to end 5126 years after that which = 13.0.0.0.0 the date transfer to dec 21st 2012...

How can that end? it will just keep going ... damn indians.. they were not to bright..

Now, if I remember corectly reading that there is no proof the the Mayan said something bad was going to happen that date.. They only said something BIG was going to happen on that date...

Guess what ? there fucking calendar keeps going... hahah..

    anyways.. back to topic..

if people don't panic.. we will be alright..

It wasn't just the Mayans that came up with that date. The Chinese and one other did too. So maybe it will be a date of some significance. I only know this because I watched a documentary on it. The die hard agnostic in me always doubts everything without some form of physical evidence though.

The Mayans said that the earth once consumed by water. Apparently this was the first apocalypse. The next which is on December 26th 2012 is going to be one of fire. The gods will return to the earth and reclaim it. No where did I see that this would mean the end of human civilization or that the earth would be destroyed.

Apparently cosmically there is something that is supposed to happen on that date. The earth with cross over the path of Ophiuchus the 13th Zodiac sign and move into a new section of the galaxy. Passing us into a new age. The age of Aquarius. So everyone is in ups about all of this because they think all kinds of crazy shit is going to happen.

Who know who cares. The day will happen if we want it to or not. No sense in getting all crazy over it. Have a plan for something to happen if you want, but if it's really the end of the world what can you do?
