doubt it, who would buy it. Developing countries couldn't even buy, which is the reason for the high demand

Gas would be like $6-$8 a gallon. And demand is actually low right now because of the global ecconomy being down

If demand is low, Opec would be shooting themselves in the foot by raising the cost of oil.

    OPEC FTW.

I'm buying a Dodge Viper ASAP, because it gets awesome gas mileage, and I can't wait to drive my fuel sipping monster to and fro.

what OPEC is finding out is that even though oil is a neccessity , it still goes by demand. With global economy shrinking, demand is low. If they raise prices they will cripple the worlds infrastructure and shoot themselves in the foot. They will try to keep prices from plummeting by cutting production. But theres not much else they can do. I bet $2-2.50 a gallon regular is here to stay until the economies bounce back

    BS. Don't see it happening.

The reason the oil has dropped is due to low demand, the economy and a slightly stronger dollar.

I know Opec is trying to keep the price high by cutting its output. They have cut like 2 million barrels a day already and prices still keeps falling.

I have high respect for OPEC no matter what they do.

...and I will continue to buy gas and waste it.

Funny, that's what I told my buddy yesterday. I don't think we'll see 4 buck any time soon.

They have the data that the need now, they know the effects.

They can't cover the election anymore, so I'm surprised they didn't say $300 to keep their viewer base.

    I hate the news.

me either, but honestly now seeing prices down under 1.80 when we were paying 4.60 back in the summer is fucking ridiculous. US gov needs to step in and make some regulations on this shit.

I don't buy it one bit that demand has dropped so much to cut the price of fuel in 1/2 :jerkit: - we are getting fucked b/c of OPEC/US Gov failure to regulate other than the side of big oil

i think NOW is the time to really push this Energy Agenda. While the price of oil is low, and while the OPEC countries are vulnerable.

Why wait to they have us over the barrell? No pun intended

+1 for truth. Our energy cost are lower so there could be a cost advantage...
However, we still have some of the lowest energy costs in the world... Thanks to good'ol nuke and coal powa!
