    Default Need some ideas for a small getaway....

    So Im going to be on vacation from the 19th through the 31st of this month. I love going up to the mountains around this time with my lady, usually Asheville. I was wondering if anyone else had some reccommendation on where to go or what other things I might be able to do when I go up

    Im going for one day and one night...kind of like a day trip.

    I just got back from Charleston SC. I was there for 3 days. I dont know if you've been there before, but if you like history, I reccomend going. Its a very cool town with lots and lots of US history. They have a law that if a building has been standing for 75 years, its not allowed to be torn down or modified. Also, any new buildings must blend in with the old ones.

    Mount Mitchell. Highest mountian on the east coast, I don't think it's too far from Ashville.

    im not really a mountains kind of guy.

    my friend went up to pigeon forge for indoor skydiving. i thought that would be pretty cool to do.

    but whats in asheville?

    What about planning a trip to Darfur? The weather is always sunny, lots of sand, and watching mass genocide can be very romantic to the lady folk.
