    8 years ago I used to get excited to see members sign up everyday on Importatlanta.com. The 1st year of importatlanta.com , I wont lie, it was probably the closest IA.com has ever been due to us not having members..

    Not many from 2001 are still around, but some are still on...

    In 2001 a married couple joined Importatlanta.com and had a car club called Civic Minded...

    At the time, Some of us thought, this couple are weird.. why did we say that? Well, At that time we didnt have many members past the age of 25, we were all basiclly, Young kids who just hit our 20's...

    Anyways, During that year, I had the honor of meeting Brett and Leisa.. these guys were really cool I thought.. They loved cars So we all down.. is like they came out of no where...

    Month and month.. They became like the King and queen post of whores of IA.. they always had more post then anyone on IA.. they made the the whoreslounge popular back in the early ages.. Both making funny post at all times of the days..

    Brett and Leisa, every meet, event.. anything that involved IA..or cars..they were there... The couple... I can count in hand I saw Brett alone...

    We became really good friends.... IA.com has been my life since 2000... They have been there since 2001... They were part of IA success... They are IA..




    Today, Leisa Lowenthal passed away... A great friend... I know I havent said much about the situation... But everyday I thought about it.. and talked with personal friends about it.. I even told my parents about it and friends who have nothing to do with Importatlanta

    Leisa was a great person who from what i could see was Always happy... if there was a sad in her in life.. I never saw it... her "witty" Comments in person would always make me laugh.

    I Thanks Brett and Leisa for being part of my life over the 7 years...

    I had the honor to hang out with these guys at plenty of shows, partys...

    But I also been out with them when It was just them..

    She was a great person.... who will def be missed... but def not forgotten..

    Brett, I have been reading brother.. you know I got your back no matter what.. I admire your strengh and character.. Please keep your head up man..

    Leisa is now in a better place... I'm sure she will be watching....

    I will be honest, I know is hard to stay positive at times like this...but dont forget you have the support of 1000's.

    You guys made the age 30 look "HIP" ..

    A few years ago I used to say, **** I want to be like brett and leisa.. **** in there 30's and they are a fun couple.. Bonnie and clyde...

    Well, today is my b-day.( only close friends knew that). I turned 30.. I still want to be like you and Leisa...Keep ya head up bro..

    wow. I don't know Brett from Adam, but i feel like this happened to someone i see everyday.

    i know my join date only shows i have been here a few months but i have really been here since 04, i have made quite a few prayer requests and leasa was always there for me. i really cant believe this happened. when my grandfather was in icu for 2 months leasa prayed the whole time, and when my grandfather finally got out and was stable i let him read what everyone wrote, and cried his eyes out. when i told him she needed the prayers now he then cried once more and has prayed for her everyday. this is a great community and i am proud to be a part of it. r.i.p leasa.

    I have been here since '02 and I used to see them around, I was too young to know them at the time. But I have spoken to Leisa for the about a year now and she is nothing but joy. Never got jealous, always joked with Brett, Brett returned it and it was just great. Being in the middle of their convos was always entertaining. ~seriously tryin to not cry~ i know she will always be here watching us, espically you Brett. No more loli's hehe...

    Brother Brett, I dont know what to even say man! I know Ive been long removed from the group, but bro, My serious Condolences man, Im so sorry! I have alot of very happy memories of Leisa, honestly... she was like my internet guardian for awhile.......... and the best mother-in-law a man could ever ask for. ( Hey, she would have laughed.. ok maybe not,)

    caravans, car shows, meets, hot wings, porn, laughter, party and friendship all come to mind looking back!

    Brett & Leisa are who got me on IA when I joined UC. I just heard about the news tonight when I got home from work. After reading this post it hit me harder then it did when I got home. Just thinking of all the great memories with you two.

    Brett I wish I could of been there more for you these past couple weeks. I was hoping/praying for the best for you.

    Julio, that was amazing.... Thank you. Leisa has meant more to me than anyone will ever realize, she was my soul mate, she was my best friend, she was my everything. My life was changed 10 years ago when she walked into my life and nothing in my life will ever be the same again, She will never be replaced and I will miss her more than life itself. God I miss her, I do not know how I will make it through a day without her.

    thats why we are all here brett, we as a community are here to help you and be there for you in those times you need a shoulder to cry and lean on. this site although there is tons of bs and bashing, when times arise that there needs to be serious talk, its done. we know how she was, we know what she meant to you and to everyone on this board. we will all miss her and be there for you in any way shape or form that we possibly can.

    man its crazy leisa was soo nice to me...and ive never even met her. She woudl send me Pm's wishing me happy birthday every year. Such a great person!
