    Default Mp3 Players/media device..... suggestions...

Looking at getting an mp3 player....

i've owned an ipod.. and a zune... don't much care for them...

i want some form of a "plug and play" where i can just "drag and drop" my music from my laptop directly onto the mp3 player.....

i kinda like the 2nd iriver clix but never used one (have used the 1st gen)

i'd like something not TOO BIT.. or too small.......... but obviously something with a decent enough sized screen for the movie capabilities....

anyone got any ideas???? i could always use my phone.. (lg dare) but i don't want to suck the battery life out of it.... and it's not drag and drop either cause vzw is gay....

    Almost. http://www.rockbox.org/

Check it out. Its worth it and easy to install. It does exactly what you want without having to downgrade to cheaper hardware.

The software is download only. Once you download/install it, you choose what folders you want it to recognize and pull files from. It'll automatically add everything from that folder. Then you just drag it from the folder in the software to your device and it syncs automatically.

    No shuffle, Ipod Classic, Touch.

Basically only the Mini, and first Gen Ipod Nano. So this will work on my 1st gen. But not my 3rd gen Nano. Bummer.

I'd personally stick w/ an iPod or Zune. . . but that's cause my headunit in my car only has a USB and iPod plugs. . (No CD player)

eh... i'd have to buy some form of transmitter for it to work in my car either way...

got a 99 jeep... and it's one of those dashes/units where you'd have to just about replace the whole instrument panel to get something aftermarket that would have an adapter..... so basically what i'm saying is... plug and play with my car is not something i'm worried about either way!!!!
