    Default s3 magaizine....seriously....wtf?

the **** is this ****? i dont know about the content of the magazine itself previously...but seriously....why in gods name would you ever feature such a giant terd....at first glimpse im thinking to myself, ok cool, another "artistic" vehicle w/ a janked exterior and some balling underhood content....open up the mag read a poorly versed internet forum like article on a giant pos vw, tape holding a headlight together, no underhood shots even though the writer admits the underhood was nasty as hell and the only thing clean was the " ballin' " polished IM, and some ******y headliner from 1954 with ice cream cones on it....to be honest, for this being the first time picking up this magazine im less than impressed and i see it hard to find people willing to spend money on this kind of content....i mean i could see that hood on a killer car for the "artistic" value....but this car is an all around terd

surely im not the only one who sees it this way...i mean you people who have actually paid for a subscription be honest....when you got it were you disappointed?

not bias, but i think it is cool... what do you want to see? same sh!t in every other magazine... dude i'm so over seeing any drift cars, 350z, civics, etc... honestly i like the grassroots feel they got. only thing i didn't care for was the mag was little on the VW side this month. not that i don't like dubs but man lots of dub coverage.

does ia sponsor s3 or vice versa in anyway? if so i hate to look like a **** but i think your opinion is useless considering your status within IA. you cant say anything out of the way about s3 if this is the case b/c of the relationship the two entities have. which is understandable, but dont act like its truely unbiased.

if it isnt then show me a cover feature in the real grassroots magazine, grassroots motorsports, that features a car of that caliber and then we'll talk....theres nothing grassroots about this car, its a terd, plain and simple.

now what do i want to see out of a magazine? like nemesis says, why cant there be more domestics? crazy swaps? anything but jdm civcs....there are killer cars just in the atlanta area that apparently are skipped over in favor of vehicles like this. i will say though that a car doesnt have to have flawless paint and be of the norm to be featured...im all for different stuff, but this car and that article plain out sucked.

There is a certain stigmata about domestics that certain people have regarding them. Some are die hard import, and some are die hard domestic, some are die hard stupid. I for one am neither, and personally there are no magazines really out there that cater to both readers. Id like to see a domestic/import magazine. However, I dont see that happening because if they do " the majority of the tards that subscribe will consider they "sold out" as soon as they see a boosted Z06 on the cover. Im just tired of having to subscribe to Modified Mustangs and DSport/ Import Tuner Magazine to get my fix of both worlds.

A lot of people dont realize, that times are changing fellas. New Gen Muscle Cars are making a come back.

very true, im more into the hp side of things, but i enjoy a cleanly done car every now and then, and coming from the import side into the domestic side i have a love for all cars, so i can enjoy most anything....

how about a mix of the two? i vote no rotors ls1 powered fd for the next issue....put it on the cover and ill buy a subscription

x2 with a 5.0 miata or a fd/ls1. But something to bring imports and domestics in the same mag.

We can see junk like that at any varsity meet or on your local stretch of road and we can probably "guess" as to what mods it already has.

If you dont buy mags any more because "you cant afford this but you can stare" mentality, you have some personal issues.

Honestly, if it wasnt for car mags showcasing bad ass rides, I wouldnt have gone through as many stages Ive gone through with all my cars. Personally, mags featuring turds doesnt send the right message either. Might as well include a copy of F&F with every subscription. Or maybe, "A day without a Mexican".

nope they don't sponsor us and we don't sponsor them... guys at S3 are friends of mine and i like what they do. grassroots mag local to Atlanta you need to support. like it or not we need local companies like this

like julio said "they are keeping it real"... honestly the feature to was spark sh!t - i know they have a lot of VW readers and the car which is not really my taste i think its kinda refreshing/funny all at the same time. 95% of the import magazines have either civic, 240, 350z, skyline, rx7, supra, etc on cover... um what is new and exciting about a any of those? nothing.

i think domestics should be on more "import" mags but there are very few worth mentioning on a cover... most dometics are GO not SHOW so they are nothing to look at... that doesn't sell magazines or ad's.

I would sign up to support a local mag, but a lot of people report they never receive their subscription. Personally, id like to see some nice modern domestics featured. Afterall, its something fresh Tired of seeing the same ole "hot hatches" and "fast AWDs"

In all honestly, I really liked the car. It was nice to see something other than a 700hp Skyline/350z/Supra be on a magazine cover. Hell, it even inspired me to send them this email:

When I was younger, I found myself really into the larger magazines (modified, SCC, Car and Driver). I would spend all day reading from cover to cover, dreaming of one day owning an 800whp RB26 Skyline. On the days I brought the magazine to school with me, I found myselg being mocked by the sophomore girls about the featured magazine models.---stupid bitches, most of them got pregnant anyways, but that's another story.

Anyways, I found myself progressing up and becoming more "mature". By the age of 14 I had saved up $150 and towed home an Isuzu Imark RS. I continued to build and build, and as I built, the car seemed to get further and further away from the shiny red 350z that was on every magazine cover.

It wasn't until about two years ago when working as a volunteer at Import Showdown that I discovered your magazine. Ever since then I've been hooked.I love opening the cover to see cars with chipped paint and curb-rash'ed rims... You know, the kind of cars that people actualy drive.

Being able to see [local driver] Andy Sapp's M54 back in Issue 3 really made my day.--- I would never had thought that such a raw vehicle could make it into a motoring magazine. And after thinking that would be the "realest" car I had ever seen, I nearly squealed like a girl when I saw the bondo and rust GTI on last months cover.

What I'm trying to say is thank you S3. Thank you guys for showing that you don't have to invest $50,000 in parts to have style. Thank you for featuring cars that we see everyday on the way to work, and not just a mirrored pedestal at SEMA. But most importantly, thanks for keeping it real and not losing your roots.

I think they should do my car next! radio +speakers just got jacked and i still gotz no tag! And you never see any 3geez in a mag! haha
but on the real, i like wut S3 was doing, switching it up. Going away from the high hp cars, and more towards the real daily driven cars. To me that is wut S3 is about. Real cars, that actually are driven 5days out of each week.

    Save ur engines!

I like it when magazines feature cars that aren't just trailer queens. The guys who read car magazines can't really relate to the normal featured car. I don't really buy mags anymore because it just gives the "Hey, we know you can't afford this but you can stare at the pics" vibe. I give them credit for featuring something real and different.

You know, at one time I would agree with a statement like this. But honestly now I just cant say I do. We look and gawk at car magazines because it has things that just arent in reach. I mean honestly, think of it this way. You wouldnt check out a porn mag with average looking and quite frankly ugly chicks would you? And I highly doubt youd pay to look at one too.
