I downloaded it last night and am impressed with the speed. It's not all that fast compared to my dsl but still noticeably quicker.
I'm still using firefox or IE so it's not all that, IMO.

I'll probably try it later today, along with my new Comcast. That was the easiest installation ever. Tech came, plugged in my modem, called 'em up and put the MAC in and had it provisioned. He showed up around 1:30 and just left maybe 10 minutes ago. Now I have the speed I'm paying for, my AT&T was giving me 1mbs when I was paying for 3.
Sorry. Just happy to be posting in a thread that isn't about politics so I can share my joy with my new internet.

Ran. Get real, this is google we're talking about here. I give it two months before Chrome has more gadgets than the old Mozilla trunk and a year before Chrome becomes an OS. After that, maybe another six months before it becomes self-replicating and forces it's installation onto every computer connected to the web and creates Skynet.

Lol... this **** is amazing. ****ing hell this thing is amazing.... WOW... The User interface is very similar to IE and FF but taking the positives of both and almost none of the negatives. Only gripe I have so far is this annoying window that keeps opening. WOW THIS IS AMAZING. So far chrome > FF & IE
can't believe the idiots here (or maybe i can...) who don't use opera![]()

I've been testing Opera at a friends house from time to time. I might actually wind up getting that. Gotta like the thumbnail view and built-in BitTorrent.Originally Posted by shagwAg3n

not to mention the mouse shortcuts, those are frickin sweet.
It is bloody amazing. So amazing that each tab is run independently in the browser, so if a website crashes, it doesn't close the whole browser (unlike Firefox, Ie, and Opera)
its just like opera isnt it? i got to get used to it. Anyone know how to import shortcuts, on chrome? i did it when i installed but it didnt transfer.
Opera has issues interpreting websites. STILL. Sites that are rated as 100% compliant will STILL sometimes draw incorrectly in Opera. Firefox is so far the only browser to draw a website 100% of the time at 100% compliance with 100% accuracy. I'll probably test Chrome out later, but really. Firefox does everything I need (As in, it's not Internet Explorer and can draw web pages) so I'm not sure I'd switch just out of laziness. Oh, and I like my BT client.

I do like this Chrome, the only thing is I have so many applications on my FF that doesn't transfer over to Chrome right now. Like a weather tool bar, another toolbar that controls my Itunes without having to open it, and other such things. Hopefully they will make applications for Chrome soon.
Ok, I restarted it and I don't have the DOM Inspector annoying me anymore. The start up time vs IE and Firefox, tried different orders and Chrome came out on top by far every time.
I'm so bloody amazed. This thing is a godsend. I have 7 tabs actively interpreting webpages and browsing and Chrome is using 24,xxxK of Memory. Hell my Zune application and other random **** is using more memory than Chrome.
WTF! I can even adjust the text box size for my replies. (the quick reply box)
how do you do that?Originally Posted by d-ninja
Its in Chrome, theres a little grey box in the bottom right corner of the Quick Reply box. Just click and drag.
switching the order of the tabs is easier in this compared to IE

Hell yea, its purty too.
I found a pretty big flaw, if you do a search on Google images and click on a link it takes you to the next page. But when that happens and you try to just click on the picture itself to open in its own page it doesn't happen. It downloads it and saves it to your computer, FTL!
And Im still not seeing a little grey box in my quick reply box to change any sizes or anything.
It didn't do that for meOriginally Posted by xLSTONEx

Are you using Chrome? I'll take a SS.
Right there.
Click and drag. >_< NOT THAT HARD!
Yea that still doesn't work for me.

Ur chrome is retarded. Uninstall and redownloaded the setup file then reinstall, j/k.
