lol thanks guys! yeah i'm trying to basically convince my boss the mother of all storms is coming to eat muh howz! he;s like well maybe... we'll get off early tomorrow or something! i'm like sumbish! theres gunna be a tidal waves n chit! he's like naw you be aight, but the SC (beaufort) weather and disaster center has declared that we should "volunteer" our evac now so there isn't a complete cluster trying to get off the island... imagine trying to get 50,000 people off a 4 lane highway for 25 miles til you get to a 4 lane highway aka 95 south or as i like to call it, the place that no one can drive.

i'm hoping to get out of here tomorrow or better yet tonight if i can!

sammich: regardless what it gets "evelvated" to. if it hits during hightide i won't be able to get off the island. the "pools" of water that cover the bridge during a "hurricane" exceed 3-4 ft some places... which is basically as tall as my window in the S2k... which will turn haley into one of two things... 1) a Vtec equipt rock or 2) hopefully the worlds fastest skipping blue rock over some deep ass water. so my main goal is to be long gone before evac happens..

As an SC native.... you'll be fine. It's an itty bitty storm. Being without power during the summer sucks though. Trust me, I was without it for about 2 weeks because of a hurricane once. If I was in SC now, I'd get some liquor and ride this one out. Power won't be off too long and it's always fun to watch trees bend in all kinds of crazy directions.

JENN - but did you live on a coastal island where you're house is below sea level and the high tide is less than 500 feet from your house? just sayin, the island floods with a "bad storm" i don't see the hurrican eating everything in sight, however, being trapped on this island b/c i couldn't get off b/c the bridge exit was under 3-4 feet of water and my s2k doesn't have floaties is my biggest concern. mainly i'm just using it as an excuse to come to ATL

believe me i should i know! but if nissan doesn't have room inside she ain't goin no where, that parking lot is honestly the safest place for her. its wide open, nothing can fall on her and if hail gets her then she gets fixed for free as much as i wouldn't want that to happen....
