Default What would you get for a daily driver?

I want a decent beater/daily driver. I dont like my Civic (94 LX) for a few reason, one being that its just so slow but I could live with that. I want something with a slightly nicer interior than a Civic and its a 4 door. Which is good for a daily I guess. But Id just rather have something else. So my plan is to fix the car back to stock for the most part and either sell it or trade it.

So Im looking for suggestions as to what you would get as a daily for $4000 or less. Thats my budget really because thats the most I think Ill get for the Civic.

    So far Im looking at:

Volvo. Wagon prefered, but they are hard to come by cheap and in decent condition.

    Ford Taurus, wagons included.

    Audi A4/A6

Cadillac STS. Not a good choice though being an older/higher milage luxury car.

I would try and go for a audi or maybe like an older Jetta or Passat.

I dont want another Civic honestly. I dont know, kinda want to get away from Civics. Accord or 97+ Prelude would be the only Honda Id want again.

im confused, why would you need a dd? does an xrunner really constitute needing one?

i've got plans for the tib, but i drive it everywhere lol.

so... if all you need is a daily, why not just keep the civic??

it's just a car to get you from point A to point B.

Why go with an Audi or Volvo? Don't you want the dd's maintenance cost to be low?

Im a tech, get 10% over dealer cost and like 20%-30% discount at parts stores. Not real worried about it anyways.

I dont know... Ill keep it if I can sell it but I just really dont like driving the car for some reason. It was a clean car but I guess it just left a bad taste in my mouth with all the problems I had when I bought the car.

I love my s13 DD. Perfect for me. But as mentioned before, even if parts costs are low for you, german engineering, while amazing at times, can be the most backwards crap in the world, and a pain to work on. Stick with something easy to work on and gentle on the wallet for insurance and gas.

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
