Personally, I'm taking 18 hours @ GA State towards my International Economics & Modern Languages degree.

Math 1111 (got a D the first time, good thing is same teacher who happens to be a beautiful brazillian lady)

****s gonna be hard seeing as how its 7:30am-12ishpm every day but I guess coffee and early nights will be my friend (DAMN YOU IA). I'll be living at home mostly so shouldn't be too hard to get to bed early. Oh well, **** happens when you come outta your first year with 3 classes that need to be repeated....time to buckle up.

I pulled off a B+ in German I with hardly trying, i'd recommend it.

Sucks, im gonna be an unactive bro this year cause of my schedule. What business fraternity are you planning on rushing? Also do business frats rush differently Lucky Dawg?

I plan on doing Alpha Kappa Psi, they are new at South Carolina but they are the biggest one at UGA where i will be attending in the spring. I wanted to get it out of the way so i could focus on having more free time to get into the social environment in Athens instead of being bogged down with work.


Business fraternities are much easier to rush/pledge. I rushed for one in the fall but only went for one day and decided not to do it. You pretty much listen to seminars dressed up in coat and tie then talk to brothers (or sisters, multigender "fraternity"). Then you get two interviews and then you get accepted, all you gotta do is be outgoing and talkative and not insult anyone pretty much and ur in.


Pledging is just knowing your facts and doing a project or two on mock business situations to my understanding and then knowing the history of the fraternity. Zero hazing or anything like that like in a social fraternity.


Its in essence like taking another 3 credit business course. I had 18 hours but i'm thinking about doing 15 since the fraternity will make it feel like a 21 hour semester (aka living hell, not acceptable for football season)

Chapters from georgia and new york vary greatly. I know especially at south carolina everyone is very anti-yankee. Theres a facebook group for south carolina with tens of thousands of members that says "go back to ohio" where the entire wall is people bashing the north.

I don't think it would be a problem say south carolina to uga, or south carolina to new york. But if anyone from new york came down here i think he would be given the cold shoulder honestly.

5 credit hours of practical...aka internship (25 hours/week of slave labor no pay) then its a degree in kinesiology for me this semester even though i have been approved to graduate since july 6th.

i'm also gonna try to take minimester 2 classes for some pre-reqs for grad school after i get settled into the new house...
