FUK THE GWINNETT TAG DEPT.
Okay, so I ordered my personalized plate back on April 21st. I hadnt recieved it yet, so I called the tag dept just after the 4th of july weekend. The said that the tag had been shipped out on 6/27. I asked if they thought the Holiday weekend messed things up and they said it could have but if I dont see the tag by the end of the week, give them a call back and they will see whats up.
Fast forward to today...
I called the Tag dept. They still dont know whats up so they said to call the Post Office to see if they had it and werent able to deliver it.
I called the PO and they had nothing with my name or address on it.
I call the Tag Dept back and they give me the number to the Special Tag Division which is ran by the State (tag dept. is run by the county).
I call and speak to a woman and she tells me to get my local tag dept to contact the "warehouse" because the personalized plates dont come through the special tag division anymore, they leave straight from the warehouse.
I call the Tag dept. back and tell her what the Special tag division told me and she says that she has never hear of this so called "warehouse". I then asked what I need to do about getting another tag because my paper plate expires on the 21st of this month. She said I can order a new personal plate but it must be a different letter combination than the last, or I can get a regular tag and be out of $70. But if I do either of these, there is a catch.....By law, I cant order another tag for 30 days... I asked to speak to her supervisor and she says that she cant do anything over the phone and that I have to come in person. So now I have to take a day off of work to get this shiit straightened out.
Has anyone else gone through this kind of BULLSHIIT with the Tag dept?
