No it can't. To close to the sidewall for a patch.

yea im going to go with echo on this, its to close to the sidewall and that would be too much of a liability for a shop to do it. Did you get road hazard coverage with your tires? if so throw the spare on there and get it replaced.

of course there are some shops that would patch it but there not major chain shops.

Every tire store will say NO, it's to close to the sidewall. Now w/ some shops if you offer to pay to try, they might but most chains have that if you cant fix it dont try policy. Insurance and spit.

They CAN patch it, they're just liable if it blows so they don't. I had to ride on a sidewall patch for about two months. Never lost any pressure. It can be done, but also you run certain risks.

If you need it for a while longer, why not? It probably won't last very long but a patch isn't expensive.

Buy this and do it yourself. It works great in my experience and takes 2 minutes.

Its unsafe an many shops will not touch it...Only shops that will are Back yard shops or local mom an pops shop....Do it yourself an if it pulls out in a turn causing a crash you can blame yourself an not a Shop!

Just get it plugged. Worst case is it deflates if/when the plug blows out. It's been shown you have to be a horrible driver to cause any harm from a quickly deflating tire.

I had a Michelin PS2 tire get a puncture the same way and no shop would touch it. The tire was also fairly new with 1500miles. I just said **** it and bought some pull through plugs. It lasted the entire tire's life....even did some mountain runs and two autocrosses with them.
