Not to mention you can only rent those cars in either New York or Florida, and you have to get special permission to take it out of the state. If they find out you are doing anything wrong, they will remotely disable the car and pick it up with zero refund (and possibly penalties).
Not true, they deliver to many locations with just a fee. If you want it bad enough, pay for delivery, and they pick up.

100 miles per day isn't all that bad, and I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to ruin or try and do something stupid in a car like that.

But then again, who knows.
