Have you received your refund yet? If so, how did you pay the $20 filing fee? Out of your pocket or deducted from your refund? Apparently that is what's making the difference for the TurboTax users.

Any fees I had were deducted. Later, QD.

So I guess H&R's tax filing system is a bit better for users than TurboTax.

Good news. Here's hoping it hits when I expect it to.

    Thanks, QD.

That could be neutral or bad news depending on when you were supposed to receive your stimulus.

Shouldn't matter if you pay TT's filing fee via credit cards. I still prefer TT for ease of use.. just a personal observation.

I can't remember which I did. I wanna say I had them deducted. It just pisses me off that when I actually need money, and its SUPPOSED to be coming...they decide to make you wait a month. great...

Thursday, 5/1/08 UPDATE: Important alert for H&R Block Filers:

According to H&R Block's website, if you received your tax refund on an Emerald Debit Card, your Rebate will be loaded on your Emerald card too.

However, if you used a Refund Anticipation Loan or used the H&R Block Bank in any way, you will have to wait for a paper check in the mail.

Many H&R Block filers tell me they were anticpating a Direct Deposit, but have now been informed they will have to wait for a paper check. See the dates below.

Ummmm.. check your credit card statement? Or check your bank account statement for the tax refund received and compare it with the value on your 1040. How difficult is that?

It would be a little more fair if EVERYONE was going to get one of these checks. I'm not. I guess it could be because the government punishes those who work for a living and actually pay taxes. The republicans wanted to make it $600 per person across the board, but as usual, those dumbass democrats always want to play robin hood... taking money from the "rich" (aka middle class in most cases) and giving to the "poor" (those who are too lazy to work and live off the government).

To everyone who works hard and earned the $600, enjoy it. Stimulate the economy. Go buy a couple 55 gallon barrels of gas before it hits $5/gal.

To everyone who sits at home all day and waits for the 1st and 15th to come around so the government (aka me and the rest of the taxpayers) can pay your bills: You suck at life... kill yourself. Quit looking for handouts and get a job.
