It's funny man. Sorry, but I find them outlawing something like this simply because Mike doesn't like it as a bit more than power crazed.
Soon one of the mods won't find rape jokes anymore and they'll ban it. Then racism isn't funny anymore and it'll get banned. Just a few more flushes before it goes down the toilet.

I know right? Even on the image board that I moderate on we allow Pedo Bear jokes and we're a work-safe site.
I think they're just letting the power get to their heads so that they can control anything that they personally don't like. That's just my view on the subject.

A clean site? Banning an image of a bear isn't keeping a site clean. Banning images of sexual depicting images is keeping it clean. A curse filter is keeping it clean. I'm sorry, but I can see how you'll ban a simple mascot but allow other content like I stated before.
I'm willing to bet you can't list one sponsor that has made a pedo bear complaint.
I have someone very close to me that was raped when she was 12. I won't give anymore info due to confidentiality, but you get the point.
You want talk about maturity level? How about the ability to discern the difference between a joke and reality? There is absolutely NO difference between joking about this and joking about AIDS, rape, or whatever else.
If you're going to ban one, you should ban them all. Not just pick and choose whichever one caters to your personal tastes.
Pedo Bear has been around for years now. It's nothing new, you're just taking it personally.

I can understand keeping content under control TO AN EXTENT. Graphic sexual image, okay. I can get fired from work for that. I won't, however, get fired for an image of a brown bear in a gif that's raising his eyebrows.

If you really want it to be COMMUNIST IA i would lock this thread and ban Ran for even trying to argue.

They are harmless. Offensive to some? Sure, but no worse than other stuff I've seen on here. There's nothing graphically depicted, it's an image of bear and a phrase typed next to it.
So let's say you ban Pedo Bear. How I about I find another mascot and post it with similar text content? Going to ban that too?
All I'm saying is that you need to keep things at a logical level. Banning an image of a girl getting banged, cum-blasted, or whatever then fine. I've no quarrals with that. However, to ban an image like....
...seems more than a bit overboard. It's not overly offensive and it's not NWS but it does have Pedo Bear in it. Judge images by content that is actually depicting something, not something that just a crack at an offensive subject.
there have been threads where nooses and burning crosses and KKK pics have been posted up. please dont ask specifically what thread, but i have seen those come up. hell i've even posted up nabisco saltine cracker pics before
