hey guys,
i wanted to link you to a thread over on vwvortex.com where a friend of mine is asking for prayer for his young wife. she is in horrible shape and the doctors give her little to no chance of survival. they are doing their best to save their twin girls but are still not sure if they can or not. please take time to read it and remember them in your prayers.

here is all of the dialog off of the tex that refers to her illness... the forum on there is 21 pages long at the moment iirc. eric is her boyfriend and vdubspornstar08 is her best friend. these are in chronological order from the 16th of april until the present.

My girlfriend and the mother of my unborn twins are in serious condition. Something has caused her to go into a coma and the doctors can not figure out why. She has not been awake since monday before her surgery to relieve the pressure around her brain and the surgery did not help. So, if you could spare a moment and pray for Nikki and my girls, i would appreciate it. If I lose her, i don't know what I am going to do, because she means everything in this world to me.

She has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer - Adrenal cancer.

My dear friend Nicole is in surgery fighting for her life as well as her girls, she is very weak from her battle, She is very young which is good. Her twins are due July 29th 2008. So far the twins are stable and the type of cancer she has due to her pregnancy the tumor unknown to her, has grew and is causing her problems. but I know God is with her and the girls, Bless you Eric ,be strong!!

Ok, so they got most of the tumor out, but could not get it all, it was bigger than originally thought. There is medication out there that they can give her to destroy the rest of the tumor, but with this being a rare case still not out of the woods yet.

The twins are doing fine which is really good news. Thank you for all your support, it really means alot. :thumbup: to the vdub community

Got some bad news, they found another tumor that is higher. Problem with this cancer is the only way to get rid of it is surgery. She is already weak and they are deciding whether to go back in to remove this tumor. Pray everyone, pray

They are going back in, if they get it all out, then that is really good, if they don't, then they give her 3 months to a year if she wakes up. Please God, save my girls.

Nikki, these girls are going to be a hand full, I need you to fight.

My friend Nicole had the surgery, She is clinging to life. They removed all they could of the tumors, The doctors have given her a drug to paralize her,due to swelling and the pain is so horrible, they feel it is the best bet for her at this time.. Her bodies natural defense is to abort the girls, so they are giving her meds to stop the miscarriage. She is a free bleeder which has cause alot of problems for her. If they can keep her alive till she can have the girls taken(c-section) She will then have to get stem cell treatments. Eric cannot post right now ,he cant see to type..he needs his friends. If she lives she will have no recent memory only childhood. But that's nothing we can work on .The problem being Eric and Nicole arent married and her parents are over her, Her parents, have come to the decision that no more attempts to save Nikki or the girls will be done. Eric really could use his friends right now. The ones of you that know Nikki, have been blessed like me, she can work on any car as good and better than most men, She is beautiful inside and out, she loves people. She never judges or acts better than anyone. She would give her last dime to anyone.She once traveled 50 miles to get a man's car running so he could go to work and take care of his family. she was really into fund raisiers. Children ,the elderly. Volkswagens has been her dreams and her reality since the age of 4 ,her father said.She worked in his shop since she was old enough to turn a wrench in Virginia. She and Eric are orginally from Virginia, but met each other here on vortex. Then kindled the love connection in Virginia. Please fight Nicole, We need you. I love you. Anyone that knows Eric please keep in touch with him, ,he is really needing us all, to keep him strong...

Eric is asking for no money, he is still working. She has a very large family that stay with her.. she has a very good insurance. he just needs maybe someone to take him out to lunch,or dinner, give him a call or just, PM or IM him, to keep his mind off things,(thats my imput) He does appreciate everyone that has offered,but he and Nicole donot need help with cash,just prayers.,But a very big hand to all the vortex community that has been here for the both of them,and the girls. Tonight they are taking Nicole off the drug that paralizes her,which this kept her from hurting and swelling, then slowly she will have to try to breathe on her own. If she has a reduce amount of brain waves they will not proceed in saving her life,so Eric ask that you all keep her in your prayers.Ericka twin B is having some problems,But Nicole's Dad says that her body was trying to get rid of the girls, its a natural defense for the body to do that.But it has stopped. The one thing that is so amazing about these two people besides them being really good people and friends, Nicole's Girls are miracles,she wasnt suppose to have any kids to begin with, so i just know she has to get better. She has started to breathe on her own, but not much, she is in alot of pain.

Please don't send money, Thank you for the offer though. That is not what is needed, her medical expenses are covered.

Please just continue to pray and i am being as strong as i can, though it is hard at times.

She hasn't shown any improvement since other day. I am praying and trying to stay strong and I want to thank you guys for all that ya'll have done. As I have said before, no money is needed, just a miracle.

She has gone back into surgery to relieve some pressure, if this doesn't work, then she is not going to survive. She has to survive, she has to pull through, God, I need her so much.

I was just woke up by Nikki's sister, she told me Nikki made it through surgery,and they found alot more that should have been done the last time. Also they found they were using two items she is severely allergic to on her ,latex and betadine. They got the shunt to working and pressure is being released. She is moving her arms,and wiggling her toes. Still unconcious and the doctors have gave her a slim chance of survial and if she does there will be brain damage. The twins are already doing better,they are both moving now and breathng like they should. Her family and Eric, would like to thank all of you for your prayers,They beleive because of all the vw community,,it is a sign that Nicole will pull though and live and without brain damage. You all have given them strenght to push Nicole and her Doctors to go past what was medically accepted. The doctors also have seen the post and this thread is copied and in frames all over her room, Thank you all. keep the prayers coming and Nicole try hard girlfriend I need you to fight I love you. I am not trying to be rude or Nicole's family are not trying to be disrespectful, but today they ask all friends to please let this day just be for the family, today a host of neices and nephews from all over the world,and brothers and sisters,cousins aunts and uncles will come to see Nikki, Then the parents will decide along with Nicole's connected sister ,what they are going to do, It is a terrible and horrible decision they must make. It will effect Nikki and her girls, They asked me to ask all you kind wonderful people to please give them today alone the hospital is complaining that so many people are there, This will be a very hard day on her sister and Eric,My prayers go out to them, to give them the strenght to decide what the best thing to do for them all. Nicole's body is starting to decay, this does not mean she cant come back to us, but she cant be touched at all.Only medical staff. She just cant seem to learn how to inhale .The twins have 20 days and they can be taken and survive, but the question is can Nicole make it those 20 days and should they abort the twins to save her. This truly will be a very hard day on the family, They appreciate all of you guys that have come to see her,radio stations picking up on the request to pressure the hospital to go futher than that is normal. At 2 am they are making a final decision, Her older brother will be here to see her. Im sure they have already decided ,but they are giving her a little more time..She isnt inhaling at all, no longer gasping or choking to bring in air,,she just does nothing till the machine cuts back on, so she isnt breathing at all on her at this time But a tape recorder with each post is on it and it is being played over and over......Thanks everyone. Nicole's oldest sister just woke me.All attemts will be to save the twins,nothing more to save Nicole,but to keep her body as a incubator till the girls are taken c-section,then my friend Nikki will be not given any help to live she will perish that day..Nikki I love you girl, who will I tell my secrets too, my dreams ,my future plans, times when im sad and you cheer me up, I hope I did all that for you too my dear sweet Nic.

I hope so, i have been pretty down in the dumps today, but we found a letter that she wrote right before she went into the hospital and it is my reminder that she loves me, no matter what happens. There is just so many things I want to tell her, so many things that I want to do with her. So many things I want to show her.

Well, the hospital took all of her monitoring equipment off which isn't right, even took the tubes out for drainage, so this morning, she went back in to surgery have everything put back in, we think that she does hear us because she does have brain activity, but we aren't sure how much she will remember

Nicole has been moved to a private owned convelesant home. She wasnt given correct care and the hospital has rules on when its time to give up. At this new place she has several good Doctors that want to go farther than normal,and the family can see her daily. Which had been taken away, I want you to know that every page is going on her walls in frames. And her sister has recorded herself reading them, all the prayers will help, Eric has his videos playing and sound clips of him telling her to fight. Along with a host of nieces and nephews begging her to wake up,because they only get 10 mins every 2 hours.. Heartbeats of the girls are loud and strong, She has some good God fearing Doctors that beleive in miracles now. So now we just pray, They are operating this morning, to see if there is a blockage to why she cant inhale. We are praying that she is strong enough to pull through. Thank all of you and your family's keep those prayers coming. Nic fight like you never have before, like when you struggled with that transmission, all the guys laughed said you couldnt do it by your self ,lol you did, jacks and stands ,blocks and time, few broken nails but you did it, come on show us all you can get thru this, I love you ..Eric and your sister arent giving up on you, so you dont either girl.
