People who filed with the IRS directly via electroniclly or people who used Turbo Tax will get thiers via direct deposit if they paid the E-File fee via credit card and not out of thier refund. Wish I would have known that when I filed cause I would have paid the fee vioa credit card and Id have the money already

No, if the IRS deposited your refund directly into your bank instead of taking out a loan against it or having the fees taken out by another agency, it will be direct deposit.

There is no direct e-file to the IRS for general consumers, you have to use consumer software or a web based tax prep program to e-file for you. If you prepare your taxes online and then pay for your fees at preparation time and have the refund deposited, you will get your money by direct deposit.

Everyone has to use some sort of service be it online, software bought in the store or a place like H&R Block (which will charge you far too much for something so simple) if you want to e-file.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't just pay the fees. For most people, the federal file is free (if you make under $54K) and the state should never be over $20. I think mine was about $14. If you make under $54K per year and you paid for e-file, you shouldn't have. Next year, folow the e-file links on irs.gov and get it for free.

they are not $600 checks... it depends on the gross amount you made last year... it is UP to 600 dollars

Thank you. Everyone should really pay attention to this because a LOT of people will not get the full $600.

I've heard quite a few reports of $350-400 checks instead. Not really sure how $350 can stimulate our economy but that's a whole different arguement.

I think you had to earn at least 3,000 dollars last year to receive any money. Cus if you use their calcualtor, and if you put anything under 3000, you get $0 back.

Yes, that has been established many times

If you made between $3000 and $75,000 you'll get a stimulus check. The minimum check is $300 per individual and the maximum is $600.

If you made over $75k then you get your check reduced by a % until the rebate is completely phased out at about $84K.

im pretty sure that calculator is correct seeing as it hasnt messed up mine and a couple of other folks i showed it to.

Yeah we were under the same assumption too, lol we were proved wrong as hell, but its still damn close to 1k so can't complain too much.
