Sidewalks in the median on Ga400

Anyone know why they're putting sidewalks in the median between exits 12 and 13? They must know gas prices are going to explode.

Is that what it is? They should just add a couple lanes, and put a wall up instead.

Yeah they are doing gaurdrails in the middle, Its going up past 14 also.
