They can take you to jail for anyhting if they want, and on the back of the ciatation there is a list of offenses that they are technically suppossed to take you to jail for instead of just iving you the ticket and letting you go on, and reckless driving is one of them. like i said you have just been lucky.the cop tghat arressted me was trying to act like a big guy infront of the traniee that was with him, yelling and cursing at me telling me that he was gonna make and example out of me because he hated little young punks like me or ones that drove imports.
No they can't just take you to jail for whatever they want, and they can't make up charges. It's called false imprisonment. I have been pulled over all over North Georgia including Hall County. I've been told to go back where I came from in Cartersville. I got busted "driving down a road closed to through traffic." I've been pulled over for "impersonating an emergency vehicle" on Barrett Parkway. I've gotten wreckless driving, improper passing, 81 in a 55, 84 in a 55, got pulled over for 142 in a 55, got put on probation for my driving record, etc. I have still never gone to jail. Its not luck. The BS meter is rising.
