honestly i don't see anything wrong even if he put a sign up saying he won't serve people who don't speak english. i guess many of you don't get of the country much, but this is common all over the world. if you don't make an attempt (even if you are butchering someones language) you may not get service.

I thought it was illegal here to flat out deny someone service because of race, religion, etc. I assumed if the sign said he wouldnt serve people who couldn't speak english it would fall under this law. I wish he could have a sign saying he wouldnt serve them period, it's his business and he should be able to run it how he wants as long as he pays taxes. I didnt know that many other countries denied service like that.

i'm sure it is illegal, but honestly why would someone care...? people in this country have turned into the biggest cry babies on the planet. if there wasn't a tree to hug, abortion clinic to blow up, police beating, ethnic holiday, immigration laws in general, etc... people in this country would go ape sh!t. they honestly wouldn't know what to do. all of the lawyers/politicians in this country woul have to find new careers.

everyone needs to look in the mirror and see how big of a b!tch they have become. i don't care what race you are. poor lazy whites complain illegals are taking their jobs, rich whites blame blacks for crime, illegals complain we have LAWS :thinking:, blacks complain whites are racist, christians complain about gays, gays say they aren't accepted, and everyone hates muslims(terrorist). i guess we can all agree we don't like Yousef. :cheers:

I have friends of all races but I think if you live here you should learn ENGLISH!!!...If you travel to any other country like Paul said you have to learn their language.

it's hard for older first gen immigrants to learn english, (and they'll never correct their "funny" accents) especially if they work in an ethnic place (ethnic restaurant, grocery store, etc) all day to support their kids. so my only problem with anything like this is that how do you define the line between attempting to speak english (and being grammatically and phonetically hard to understand) and not speaking english at all?

as far as making english official, it depends on what "official" means. It could mean alot of things on a business, government, or private level. Hopefully it'll make immigrants WANT to learn english and WANT to integrate into american society, rather than being a means to deny certain groups of people certain things.

Hispanics need to learn english, this is a must. I hate going to burger king a a fellow latino talking to me in spanish. LOL I usually talk back in english, then they look at me like im an assh0le. Its great! But yea, crackers and chinks, monkeys need to learn spanish too. Its only fair IMO. :D
