Just get a Mustang GT like everyone else. You can get it for under $30K and with a $5K turbo kit you're already at 500HP.

OR u could go buy a used 05-06 gto for $23-25k, put about $4000 into a heads/cam and supporting bolt on's, and make 500rwhp WITHOUT boost

Yeah, but then you're stuck driving a Pontiac.

Besides, they're looking for NEW tuner market. Not the "nobody liked this car so we discontinued it and you can get them dirt cheap" tuner market.

It's actually not that bad. George said his intake took about 15mins to install, then a few minutes to tune. Everything else I would possibly do looks easily accessible too. Headers, suspension, tower bars, exhaust ect...

This year, Ford bettered its 1998 showing, earning top honors in five out of J.D. Power’s 19 segments for vehicles like the Mustang.

I havent seen it yet, and I hate to seem biased, but the new Caliber SRT-4 is AWD with 300 HP. Doesnt look great but is supposed to be around 24-28K and has EVO-like specs. I would think anyone looking for affordability would jump on this, IMO

a buddy of mine put a procharger on his not too long ago.... i wasnt personally there for teh install, but all he did was b1tch and complain about how hard it was to get all the piping right, mounted, make sure everything had enough clearance, etc... when i saw the car, i saw exactly what he was talking about.

    lol and ps...
imo, jd power only counts if you continue to drive a car in its stock form, completly un modified (except maybe wheels, or other MINOR bolt on's like an intake and a catback...)

    1. User errors.

    2. Read instructions.

    3. User error.

    4. Probably shouldnt be drinking when installing an SC.

    5. I have talked to people that have installed other SC's (non procharger) that have done it in there driveway with ease.

    6. User error.

    7. Your buddy is probably retarded. lol

500whp? i though only LS7s could do that on motor.

Ive never seen any LS1/LS2/LS3/LS6 make that kind power on just $4000 heads an cams.

honestly everyone is going bigger, faster, etc... i would think american muscle is coming back into the scene.... the new mustang is hot, new camaro "bubble bee" is off the chain, soltice, sky, etc... i think best car to make an impact for a shop would be to build a new camaro once they release

The new camaro looks awesome with performance to boot, but it just really sucks Ive heard the new Camaro fully loaded is going to be in the upper 30k range. That to me is ridiculous for something with the name Camaro.

I think you guys should go with a '92 Honda Civic. It's the way of the future.

LS3s can do it fairly easy. LS2s and LS6s can do it with full bolt-ons (electric water pump, right cam, intake manifold, ported TB, the right headers/exhaust system). LS7s only need a tune, intake and good exhaust system. 500bhp is a breeze, much harder to pull 500rwhp with just heads/cam. Definitely need an intake manifold, port work, UD pulley.

I make well over 500rwhp (and torque) on motor. It's loads of fun. I can't wait for my nitrous tune.

Only problem I can see with the GXP/Redline's is the lack of a good tuning solution. Yes HPtuner is able to tune them. But the amount of tables that are unlocked are very few. Couple that with the fact if the cars ecu is very senstive and almost anything out of the ordinary throws it into limp mode. Causing the user to reset his ecu all the time.

Right now I am seriously leaning torward the new BMW 135i. Its turbo'd, can be tuned fairly easily comes with 6piston brembos' and is under 40k.

The new 135 is going to end up taking alot of the STI and Evo market I feel. Now that both the STI and EVO are priced about the same if not more than the BMW
