I think that Apple will one day be the computers that schools/businesses/etc use instead of dell/windows based computers. They are much easier to use but this transition will take a while. I don't own a Mac, but the ones I have played with are great. My iPhone is one of the best/easiest to use electronic devices i've ever purchase, 2nd was my previous ipod. Microsoft/other pc systems are just getting boring and out dated.

I've always been a PC guy. I respect Apples for they seem to be cool, and have there own little part of the market, but PC's seem best for me. That new apple laptop looks pretty sweet too heh, paper thin almost.

well i've always had PC's and so has my dad.

but my sister's baby's daddy bought her a MAC. and she has been going to school online since she was pregnant. well the software that comes for the program couldn't be used on a MAC. so she has to use my mom's laptop for the time being.

but i've used MAC, and i'm just not impressed. so what if they cant "get viruses" and ****, if you can't use them why the **** do you want them?

i rather use a PC anyday like Toshiba or Dell or built.

They can get viruses.....its just no one cares about them. If you wanted to have a army of zombie's you'd use/write code for what has the highest market share.

Yeah mac's suck thats why they are used for editing all major movies and music. But wait if PC's are so superior at everything why arent they used? Oh thats rite because windows is an unstable operating system and it all tends to goto hell when you try to add everything. I guess having something that just works all the time is over rated.

PC all the way. Just because you can't operate a pc as well as you can a mac, doesn't mean they are better.

The pic of the motorcycle is 100% accurate. My buddy bought a MacBook pro and that thing freezes all the damn time. My PC hasn't frozen once in 4 years, neither has my laptop. And I bought both, which are faster machines and run all my CAD, animation, and design programs faster than the Mac, for less than his one computer. They also boot faster.

If it was good all around then we wouldn't be having this discussion, but since its not, and the only thing its good at is video editing and making slideshows then we are. I guess having something that I can upgrade with a $100 part once a year and be able to run 95% of new games is overrated. I guess paying half of what you pay for you non-upgradeable nearless useless pretty machine is overrated.

Jeez, didn't notice this callout.

I have had my share of PC's, and owned a mac for almost two years now. I am 100000x happier with my mac than I ever was with any of my pc's.

Am I saying that Mac is better than PC? No. That's subjective, and there is no definite answer. Do I like macs more than pc's? yes.

you must be like 18 b/c most school when i was growing up in number grades used mac, until PC market blew up to and took over...

i have owned both mac/pc(windows/linux)... here is break down...

mac = best for graphics/audio/video, easy to use and they have wonderful toys like ipod/phone, etc ... now mac is also way over priced and has a lack of support/tools STILL in both programming/gaming industrys.

pc = cheap, tons of OS options, unlimited support/tools, top platform for business/home ... bad ... if your running windows "blue screen" enough said, if you are running linux difficulty of use for normal day/day user

overall PC owns the market, you can get a nice box for 400$ and do basically anything you want. Mac start at 599$.

Unless you don't really use your computer for anything except surfing/videos/porn, then it works quite well and you can't beat the price tag.
