    dang sad news. found the report about it. met this guy a few times at marietta motorsports when i would visit their shop since they sponsor our race team at SPSU.

    "A Marietta man died early Monday evening after losing control of his motorcycle and landing in front of an oncoming vehicle.

    Kevin Silvis, 33, was traveling west on Delk Road in Cobb around 6:45 p.m. when he suddenly lost control of his motorcycle, according to Marietta Police. Silvis was ejected from his bike into the path of a Chevrolet Impala driven by Jerlisa Taylor, 20, who was making a left turn off Delk Road.

    Emergency personnel transported Silvis to Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. No one else was injured.

    Marietta Police say no charges have been filed but the investigation is ongoing."

    Thats all the article says. He was an experienced rider so I wonder what made him lose control.

    guess it doesnt matter to you if someone posts something about a person that was somewhat a friend. dont know what happened yet, but he was an experienced rider, did some track days and was an all around cool guy. guess we will find out what happened once report is finished.

    I'm sorry to hear someone died.. but the fact of the matter is everyone knows the chances of living through a motorcycle accident are remote yet people continue to put their lives on the line and ride for the "thrill".. it's no difference than someone sky diving or bungy jumping.. time will eventually run out on you..
