No one knows I lost my soul long ago

She said that she's had enough
Am I too much

The SCVMM console is an administrative console that helps you manage the Windows virtual machine infrastructure efficiently. Using the console, creating and configuring virtual machines becomes simpler. Another important aspect to consider when you create a virtual environment is to place the virtual machines at optimal locations. Also, after the virtual environment is configured, you need to follow guidelines that help you implement management tasks, such as using SCOM 2007 for measuring performance data of virtual machines and implementing pilot virtualization on the virtual environment.

You can assess and monitor configurations and events that occur on host computers in real time by using SCOM 2007. You can use System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 to help you assess, deploy, and update your servers, clients, and devices on a routine basis.
Processes that run on virtual machines can occasionally consume excessive processor resources. You can prevent resource exhaustion by using the Hyper-V administrative console. This console helps you limit the amount of processor resources available on the host computer that an individual virtual machine can use.
Pilot virtualizations can help you check real resource usage figures against the predictions. To check usage figures, you need to first convert the physical computer to a virtual image, and then start the virtual image. Next, you need to use simulated clients to generate the resource usage on the virtual machine in the host environment.
Note that this process may not give accurate results because the simulated clients may not match the workload that the physical server experiences. Also, it may not be possible to simulate some client workloads.
Implementing Hyper-V in your organization involves fulfilling requirements that are specific to Hyper-V, selecting the ideal candidate for virtualization, and ensuring that the host computer satisfies certain specifications. Hyper-V has specific requirements, such as the processor type, the storage, and the physical memory. After the requirements are fulfilled, you need to select the ideal candidate. Server with low resource requirements are generally good candidates for virtualization. For Hyper-V, a Server Core installation is a recommended option for the parent partition. It is a good practice because a Server Core installation provides improved security and reduces cost overheads.
HELP:
Should I:
A. hit up the mountain bike a while...
B. hit up the driving range for a while...
C. work on the race quad for my next race sunday (what I actually should be doing...)
D. go back to bed?
I'm leaning pretty seriously towards A followed by B...
After a Hyper-V environment is configured, you can manage it efficiently by using SCVMM. The SCVMM console enables easy administration of Windows Server 2008 virtual machines. With SCVMM, you can select the ideal candidate for virtualization. SCVMM also facilitates P2V and V2V conversions. It helps you perform various management tasks, such as creating and configuring the virtual machines, efficiently operating the virtual machines, and allocating resources between the virtual machines.
