hey guys found this and its pretty cool.
reps if you you found it interesting/cool?
ASTEROID not comet to come by earth on the 29th. heres some nasa links to the nasa sites on it. first link is to the "close approach" website with schedule of objects that are to come close to earth. sizes, miss distances, etc.
http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/ca/
then i specifically clicked "(2007 TU24)". you can play with the controlls to figure it out. before you mess with it, notice 2007 TU24 looks as if it is on top of earth. move it around and youll see it barely misses. hoping for a good show!

distance from earth is 1.4 LD. 1LD=distance from earth to the moon...1.4LD think about it. wow. velocity is 9.25 km/s. and diameter is estimated 240m - 550m. pretty big... so yeah, its estimated close but not to hit. supposed to come by at 3:33AM Eastern Time.
read this link for best information! nasa links above mainly for hard truth.

text from link above:
Scientists are monitoring the orbit of asteroid 2007 TU24. The asteroid, believed to be between 150 meters (500 feet) and 610 meters (2,000 feet) in size, is expected to fly past Earth on Jan. 29, with its closest distance being about 537,500 kilometers (334,000 miles) at 12:33 a.m. Pacific time (3:33 a.m. Eastern time). It should be observable that night by amateur astronomers with modest-sized telescopes.
