damn... i think i need a C6 now
he must be some sorta journalist or something. to do an entire write up on the history of the vehicles that led to this "ultimate" vehicle.
It won't last. I'm sure when he had the STI it was the "ultimate" vehicle, and the Z06 was the "ultimate" when he bought it. He is just trying to rationalize his spending money on the car and insurance that it was worth it.Originally Posted by Dirty Octopus™

it was the same when i only had the gsr and bought my 1st vette in '02. i couldnt believe the vette was cheaper but now with the way they rate the car on accidents that type of car has on top of cost of the car. it's all about the # of incidents and the cost of them. so, youger people buy tegs, get in more wrecks and they cost more to fix than most of the vette are the old guy that bought it scuffed his bumper.crazy, i know, but thats how the insurance company makes more money!!

those cars do bring happyness, but any car can do that, just depends on what you are into
I plan on purchasing a C6 in the near future.
Yup. Insurance is cheap on Corvettes.
I can only see myself letting my car go for one of 2 cars. I'm in absolutely no rush to get rid of it either. It's a blast to drive and cruise around in. Handles really well, has tons of torque, gets lots of looks, easy to maintain and ultra reliable.
So, unless a Porsche 996 or 997 or a C6Z comes along with a deal of the century, I'll be hanging on to my car for a bit longer.
I'd buy a corvette just to back it into Billy's and say that he hit me. You can't drive what you can't insure.Originally Posted by phatboislim

the newer corvettes I love. I would not mind driving one.
I love my c5.. Until I can afford a R8.. ill stick to it.
and insurance was 30 bucks cheaper a month then my TT... lol
Great write up.
He wrote that VERY well! Though my car is under construction, I am still considering a C5 vette...insurance isn't expensive and they actually get good gas mileage for the power, and they aren't that expensive of cars..too bad the economy's starting to really blow ass..
Ha ha... right cause so many people never see vettes. They are as common as a mustang.where I go, people look at me, when I stop, I get compliments
Not knocking the car, they are the the best package for the money, and I wouldn't mind owning one.
I so want a c5 zo6 now
that douche needs to learn how to drive. my car loves the limit no problems whats so ever. the only c6 i would take is the zo6.
-IA MGMT is inappropriate.
i really want a C2.. but i will probably buy a C3 before i ever get a C2Originally Posted by Leadfoot_mf
