    Default Does BOV makes your car seems fast?

    I am a proud owner of a SR swapped S14. I am a GSU student that drive to school. Today when I drove pass student center (last block before the parking lot), there was a white boy walking across the street. I just shifted to 3rd gear and the bov went off (about 30-35mph). I believe he thought I was driving really fast and he actually jumped back even though I was far away from him (at least another 20ft when he jumped). I did not come to a complete stop and once I rolled closer to him, he ran right in front of the car and starting yelling at me, acting like he is really mad at me...

    I need a blonde chick to talk to right now to make myself feel better...

    i don't have a BOV... i have an air clutch... every time i press in the clutch to shift gears you can hear it shoot pressured air through my tranny to release the disc...

    BOVs scare people, it has nothing to do with speed it can be a very high pitch sound that no one has time to prepare for!

    haha..still false. there are different style blowers. roots (top mount) and turbo style..(mine) roots style dont use BOVs.
