my school = bullshi t
ok, i attend southern poly (oh joy *sarcasm*)
spring semester of 07 i leased and paid for a dorm up front... but never signed nor collected my keys for said dorm.
i messed up my back the first day of school during rush (dont ask) so i was unable to attend school that semester (in the middle of hardship withdrawal now) i had to move back home for physical therapy and such.
i figured since i didnt collect my keys that they would hold my check and give my dorm to someone else.... i guess i was wrong
for the last couple of weeks i've been trying to talk to the property manager who keeps on giving me the runaround.
here is an example
I try to tell her that i signed a lease (guarantees a dorm, but not moving in) and paid upfront.. i never collected my keys and never even stepped foot inside the building.
she tells me that the computer shows i moved in and checked out (WTF) so i ask her to go pull my file... she does, and i tell her the situation with my back. she tells me that it was my responsibility to contact them and tell them what was going on (which i did numerous times but they never made a note of it)
when she tells me that im out of luck since i signed a lease and i paid for it, i ask her to pull the key checkout form for that dorm. just like i told her, i hadn't signed for any keys... i proceed to ask her how i could have possibly lived there if i wasnt even able to get in the door??!?!?!?
she says that isnt her problem, the computer says i moved in and out, yadadada...
at this point im directed to the property manager (who i never actually see face to face) the girl i was talking to was playing middle man.
she tells me that she needs to make sure i was infact enrolled that semester and she needs to see the hardship papers.. i explain that they are currently being processed and i have no access to said forms.
she says she will have to find out (which is understandable)
the whole time i am sitting by the main door in and out of the building, she tells me to wait a little bit longer while she looks it up. and no less than 5 minutes later she comes back telling me that the manager just left... the whole time i was sitting by the door i never saw one person leave... HMMM
she hands me a number and tells me to call back tomorrow.
i've been getting this bullshti for the last 2 weeks.. and frankly im tired of it. i know for a fact i didnt move in, i have numerous bills and forms from the doctor, letters from them certified to my address in cumming that i signed for, as well as the unsigned key form.. plus no keys..
i think i should be entitled to my 1600 back.. so tomorrow im just going to call the company that handles the property management/leasing
anyways, this ends my rant i guess
