Default Anyone bought a car from here?

I'm pretty sure most of the Lville ppl.. are familiar with Fine automotive/ South east finacial/ Kenn Stepp inc.. on the corner of hurricane Shoals and buford dr... well they are out of buisness and the owner Kenn Stepp was arrested two nites ago... dirty buisness... I say this because my aunts best friend purchased a car from them about 2 months ago.. and i used to sell cars and when you buy a car..they take car of the registration of the vehicle and the tags are shipped to you.. well Mr Stepp never did so and y aunts best friend was stopped on an expired dealer tag... she was giving a ticket.. she contacted the company and low and behold they where gone... I just moved here in Jan of this year but I was told by alot of people that Mr Stepp was a trust worthy individual... the reason I say this and have so much concern is the woman is my girlfriends mother and you know how that goes... any way.. this is a rant/ question.. what should she do... she has yet to get a bill or anything from anyone so basicly she's driving on a free car with no registration... it is insured but the company said she needs to get a tag asap.. we cant because she has no bill of sale or anything from the company... post up...

ps... i'll post a link to the gentleman who owned the business and his mugshot when i find it

I never had any dealer ship tags to me. I had to go pick them up a few days after the purchase?

hmmm... well.. they took her information.. and said they would turn it into the dmv... which never happened because the 45 day play she had expired.. and she got a ticket for it.. when i used to sell cars back home we took care of it.. thought the same concept wsa here.. she was told over the phone by someone that the company was supposed to take care of it but looks like i'm going to have to look more into it myself

I call BS. All dealers do is send the info to DMV.. as far as I know the person who buys the car is suppose to go a few days after the purchase , pay 20 bucks and get a new tag or transfer and old one. I bought a few cars and always been that, Bought from private sellers, moms and pops dealer, major dealerships..
Atleast here and GA and my personal experience.

that may be the case.. i've never done business here in ga as far as purchasing a car from a dealer/ dirt lot.. i think she's done something wrong.. my thing is if the company sent info to the DMV when she called wouldnt it have shown up in the system?...
