do your research before you make assumptions you know nothing about.
and its not SOME closed minded christians. It is the entire history of christianity, it is riddled with wars, intollerance, and most importantly blind idiotatic faith.
Obama is a secret terrorist that is going to take over the world and kill all non Muslim people.. its Osama's new secret weapon/terrorist attack..

I see where you are coming from... I personally do not put my hand over my heart and say the national anthem... Am i wrong for that... Im in the Marines and still wont do it... But some may call me unpatriotic ..... OORAH Ahmonrah.... I disagree with Obama to the fact that he could at least stand at attention and show some respect for my fallen brothers... I stand at attention everytime its played... He should too...Quote:

As far as i can tell there is no diffrence in the republican and democratic party. I and a good majority of my co-workers are Libertarian, and want as little government as possible. Heck if there was a way i could take away the 30% of my check they get i would be even happier, i personaly am voiting for Huckabe ( see www.fairtax.org ) And i hate to drag religion into this but doesnt the qu'ran say that Muslims have to convert, enslave or kill non muslims??? and to me if a muslim isnt doing this are they not to be concidered a hyporcit and not following their religion?(look it up if you dont believe me) i see alot of people coming after christians but not looking at the other side of the page. but hey thats just me feel free to flame on.
i believe its something to that extent. i have never read for myself but thats what ive heard. i heard that taxation was somewhere in there too....(another option)Quote:

**** Obama and Hillary!
There is so much ignorance scattered throughout this thread it's hard to know where to begin. I guess I'll just pick on a few things that bothered me...
1) The words "under God" were not added to the Pledge of Allegiance until the early 1950s. Therefore it cannot be used in any argument about what ideals our founding fathers had in mind when establishing our country.
That being said, I recited it every morning of grade school and have no problem saying it today.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pledge_of_allegiance
2) The same thing stated above goes for "In God We Trust." It wasn't added to US currency until the 1950s. Before that only "E Pluribus Unum" (meaning "From many, one" or "Out of many, one") was the only motto used.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_Pluribus_Unum
3) Whether the country was founded on Christian ideals is debatable. What's absolutely not debatable is the fact that it was founded on the concept of the separation of church and state. The government should have absolutely no say in what citizens of the United States believe. Religion should have absolutely no say in the affairs of our government.
Obviously we still need to work on this (prayer in school, hand on the Bible, gay marriage, etc).
Alright, I'm tired of typing. I'm done for now.
Maybe the typical American god isn't his thing.
Jesus way to freak out, and sorta make yourself look like a radical southern baptist.
I would vote for this guy

Not sure how this makes him a bad presidential candidate but, whatever
Very nice educated response.:goodjob:Quote:

Seeking religious freedom, but in return prosecuted those that did not believe in their own religion even worst then that of the English Parliament.
About the not pledging, it is the individual right of the person to do/not to do so, as burning the flag, (but don’t do that). I remember when I was in Elementary school, every time we rise to pledge the flag there use to be one kid that just sit there, and I always wonder why that was, and people made fun of him because he did pledged like the rest of us. What I’m getting at is, this is country is a majority rule, it is hard, even sometime prosecuted if one go against the norm even if they are right. Ex the Japanese/Germans encampment during WWII, the Black suppressions for the last few hundreds years, and now the Muslims. Some people need to just open their mind, and view the world in more then one dimension and stop making these racial, religious, etc comments, and maybe it be better place to live.
I agree with the comment above there are a lot of ignorance ppl!
you should read more; and that doesn't mean maxim, fhm, or comic books. its cool that you like to voice your opinions, but make sure they are educated or you will sound like an idiot.Quote:

also, if you look at all of the larger calamities in the world, they stem from religion. in the middle east, for example, is about to blow up, literally, and its not that they just don't like each other, its what their religion teaches them.Quote:

Screw it, we're d@mned either way with the two candidates that are running. I just plan on leaving to watch this country each itself alive from afar.
